Living Daylights WA 2000 telescopic & night vision sights

Can anyone enlighten me on the make / model of night vision and telescopic sight used on Bond's Walther WA 2000 sniper rifle in the Living Daylights.

After a reasonable amount of research I have found out a lot about the rifle itself but know absolutely nothing about the scope.

As an aside, I remember when watching TLD for the first time although I thought the rifle was pretty impressive, it was the scope itself that made the biggest impression on me, and thinking about this now it still seems like the ultimate kind of Bond 'gadget' - cool and futuristic looking, over-the-top without being a silly, unbelievable gimmick...

According to www.imfdb.org the scope Bond uses in The Living Daylights is an AN/PVS-4 night-vision scope. This a fairly common night vision scope for military rifles, both snipers and automatics like the Colt M4 use it. The smaller scope is the standard telescopic sight used when more light is available to see with. In the Quantum of Solace video game, the in game WA 2000 lets the player use both types in two levels. To me getting to use on of my favorite guns for the film series in the game was a blast.

Thank you PPK 7.65mm! I did check imfdb (in fact it's where I found out what little I know about this remarkable weapon) but was unable to see the info you posted, so thank you for your help.

The WA2000 seems to get very little coverage, due to its rarity I suppose, but it really seems to make an impression on people...

Now I've made myself want to go and watch TLD again!

It was blatant advert for Walther. I actually thought it was a lot of kit for what was to be a very short-range kill in ambient light from the street lights...

If you check under the actor listings at IMFDB, under Timothy Dalton that's were it tells the type of scope Bond used on the Walther WA 2000. I really like this gun myself, I feel it is a little underrated since for the time it was being produced it was offered in three different calibers. The 300 Winchester Magnum version had a lot more stopping power than any thing that used the 7.62mm NATO cartridge which in the 1980's was very popular in Western military services.
