How Q could have been in CR and QoS (for Q fans)

While I was watching over Casino Royale the other day, I realised how Q could have easily been in that movie.
1. Q could have been the man to put that tracker in Bond's arm.
2. He could have met Bond in the hotel and shown him his car and the defibulator and weapons case, ect. (Like how Q met Bond at the airport in Tomorrow Never Dies).

In Quantum this could have happened:
1. Q could have been the one in the room where they were looking at Le Chiffre's money.
"Oh look! Parachutes for the both of us! Whoops, not anymore!"
"You see Mr Bond. You can't kill my dreams. But my dreams can kill you!"
"Time to face destiny."

True. I would've liked to have seen more of John Cleese in the role anyway.

IMHO Q is one character that could be dropped from the line up.I think it's always a bigger effect is a gadget is sprung on the audiance.

Personnely I dont think we need Q or Moneypenny for DC tenure and Iwould like to see his next film or 2 carry on in the same styles as CR and QOS and also Dame Judy to carry on as M but get killed of in Daniels last film then start with a whole new cast.

I think any Q scenes in CR would not have fitted in with the film and prolonged scenes unnecessarily. For him to show up in Montenegro would have been pointless as there were no major complicated gadgets to introduce to Bond, as he already had the phone in the Bahamas, he would have known how those functions worked, and he hopefully needed no introduction to a suppressed P99 and medication.

Bond needs a weapon, a fast car, his fighting skills and a sharp mind. The gadget thing was so seventies, and is now so un-necessary.

I love the character of Q, both in narrative structure and the performance of the actors, most notably the late Desmond Llewellyn , but I agree the way he is used in future films would have to change to work.

I feel that keeping Q out of sight for now is not a bad thing. The Producers and Mr Craig have all said that when the time is right to bring him back, they will. Thats good enough for me, make his reappearance / first appearance really count for something.

My primary concern at this stage is to see Bond working with his fellow 00 agents again, as a team onscreen.

Q's lack of appearance back in CR? I not ashamed to say I didn't actually miss him there. It was too easy for me to imagine him fussing around the bowels of The Vauxhall Building, muttering about destroyed equipment, and lamenting painfully tight budgets to his subordinates, - one of whom was about to escort M to the Bahamas. :D
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
