Hello all, PPK 7.65mm here aka Stephen Leather.
I have been a second generation James Bond fan* since 1991, the James Bond Jr. (1991) cartoon series was my introduction to the film series and Ian Lancaster Fleming's novels. My favorite James Bond actors are Sean Connery(Dr. No (1962) was the first James Bond movie that I ever watched on VHS and You Only Live Twice (1967) was the first film that I ever owned on home video.), Timothy Dalton(he is James Bond 007 as Ian Fleming wrote him to me. Also minus the smoking bit, if I could be James Bond for a day, I would be Timothy Dalton's version!), Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan (Goldeneye (1995) was the first James Bond movie that I saw on the big screen. I saw it three times during 1995/1996 and I began collecting James Bond movie merchandise as a hobby around this period. By springtime of 1997 it had become a full time hobby for me.), and Roger Moore. George Lazenby is okay, but I do not really think of him as an actor.
*My Father, both Paternal Uncles and my Grandfather and Great Grand Father all read the novels by Ian Fleming, and I later did as well. I liked most of John Gardner's novelizations, and most of Raymond Benson's books too. Carte Blanche (2011) by Jeffery Deaver is my current favorite continuation novel with James Bond 007 since it like the Daniel Craig movies. James Bond 007 monderized for contemporary audiences.
Hi all, just thought I'd introduce myself properly as I intend to discuss and argue, but mainly discuss the differing opinions we have on the world of Bond.
Pierce Brosnan was the worst. GoldenEye is a passable film, the rest are blah.
Hey guys, just wanted to say hello. I actually joined up about 18 months ago but thought I'd get involved after chatting to David Zaritsky, who recommended this community.
I'm out of here too. got an email today from a Banker saying there is $6.2 mil
