My name is Andi, I am from Zurich, Switzerland. I have recently turned into a huge James Bond fan. It was enough to see all the films once, earlier this year in Spring.
They were shown to me by @BondJasonBond006 who is not only my teacher, leader and superior in the Swiss army, but my close friend.
I've started with some of the more camp and fun Bond movies. DAF, TSWLM, MR, YOLT, AVTAK, OP and then one led to the other and in the end I've seen them all. There is no turning back for me anymore, I'm hooked.
I've been active for a while on MI6-Community as Jase is a long time member there. But lately my presence there serves another purpose as well.
To keep Jase's friends updated, I'm doing the same on facebook and some of you know me from the one or the other place.
I decided to register here as I love to read and this forum will give a me another nice perspective on all things Bond. The main reason I'm here now, today, is to inform you about Jason. I'm afraid it's a mixed bag of bad and good news.
Because what happened two months ago is that Jason suffered three heart attacks within a few hours and had to undergo emergency heart surgery. Jase is 43 years old since September.
The reason he survived, which is nothing short of a miracle, is his incredible fitness and good health he had in general.
The good news besides that he survived is that his recovery is going much better and faster than we expected.
Where does Jase stand today:
It has been confirmed he will be able to work again in his job as army officer, if full-time or part-time we'll see.
His life expectancy was uncertain but now the heart specialists think he can make it for over a decade. We treat this as good news considering all facts.
It is uncertain when he will return to participating in the Bond forums and when he does he'll start from scratch.
Jase made a series of pictures yesterday, his first ones, and I've put a collage of them on facebook. It warms my heart and I'm deeply moved by the many reactions, some of them outrageously funny which will be right up Jase's alley.
When the time is right, I'll show it to him.
As you can see he's posing in front of his wonderful, framed Bond movie poster prints. So I think, it fits to post it here.
My personal Christmas gift is seeing him recover faster and better than we ever hoped for. The mental and physical challenges remain but he's surrounded by love.

that's disturbing news about Jason, he's too young for all that
very glad to hear he's recovering
tell him I particularly miss his Avengers reviews
Andi, if you get a chance, please give us your thoughts on the various films you've seen
always good to get a new point of view from a fresh pair of eyes
I find the various film-specific "pros & cons" threads are good for random observations
The news are...ah...wow. I'm a bit at a loss for words on how someone could survive 3 heart attacks... hope the future for him isn't as bleak as it seems. I really missed 006's post's on the forum and it's nice that we've finally gotten an update on him, I really liked Jason.
His trip to London seems to have taken a lot out of him.
I can only hope a speedy recovery for him and a welcome for you, Andi (BTW, is that a form of Andrew? If so, we share the same name).
Hey Andrew. Thank you for your words, and thank you all really. It's good to see Jase hasn't been forgotten after he has stopped posting.
My full name is Andreas :007) My friends call me Andi.
What I didn't say above is that Jase already was in the hospital by the time the second and third heart attack happened. That of course, was probably the deciding factor in his survival. He was in the OR within minutes.
The reasons for the heart attacks I cannot disclose I'm afraid to say, but it has nothing to do with his trip to London. There was a week between his return and when things started to turn to dust.
What matters is that Jase is up and running again. He's been released from the hospital on December 1st. After that things became much better.

I remember a couple of videos Jason posted with Dancing. Always made
me feel safer knowing that those defending the West did so with such a
great sense of rhythm

Tell him welcome to the zipper club -{ he is certainly looking a lot better than I did after surgery.
I learned today that I will like this place a lot, hell I already do!
A big thank you to several people here for various things and a huge thank you in general to all of you.
What a great bunch of guys and girls you are. Truly.
You made a tough para-scout cry for Pete's sake...
I may just qualify for your misty eyes club @Sir Higgins. Are there any requirements to be admitted into your society?

Hello Andi,
Thanks for your interest.
The Misty Eyes Club is not a countryclub and we have quite high standards.
As you are buddies with Jason, who has been identified as a hardcore Timboy, it‘ll be hard for you to get access. We would like to see some (to our movement) favorable remarks re. Dalton and then we‘ll see where you go.
We have seen from your recent reviews, that you quite dislike the Dalton Flicks and have a tendency to favor Roger Moore - which is a good thing afterall. So, don't give up hope and keep on the good work!
Cheers!
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.
