It's tuesday allready, and I have barely gotten over the weekend...
Friday: the Wine and Spirits trade days, too many excellent wines to count, too much great Belgian beers to remmember, with one exception: Jakobins Kriek MAX. Oh yes, and dozen oysters with a glass of excellent rosé!
Then in the evening, a get-together with colleagues; more beer, more wine and to top it off Pernod on the rocks (several I'm afraid) .
Saturday: A bbq-birthday-party at friends place, beer, wine, whisky (Lagavulin 16Y) and cognac, some more beer, a glass of wine, beer............
One hell of a weekend! )

Had a busy night, went to Lawrence, KS and had an old fashioned at the bourgeois pig (yeah weird name), then went to this new taco place which makes their own rum and tequila infusions with pineapple, mango, and even fennel. I had a rum and coke there. After seeing an in-store concert at the local love garden record store I had a glass of buffalo trace with one large ice cube at home.
As I had to get up really early today, it was coke last night. Tonight however: whisky time ! Might even throw in some salted nuts to complete the fest.
I drank seven pints of John Smith's during the karoke down my local last night. Not a bad drop of bitter that, although not as good and strong as that of Old Speckled Hen.
Went to a guy's style night at Halls, the Hallmark owned upscale department store and had a complementary Boulevard Boss Tom's Golden Block Beer with some sliders. Then I went home and had a homemade old fashioned.

yesterday morning i had me dad's whisky. not the best iv ever had and nearly the earliest iv ever drank it - beaten only by that sample whisky at 7am at the airport last year lol
Went to the Maker's Mark Bourbon House and Restaurant last night and had a few mint juleps, one which featured smoked bourbon which was delicious. I'm definitely going back they have the largest whiskey selection I've ever seen.
I read that Karl Lagerfeld never really drank alcohol. Why would someone want to do that? I mean, doesn't everybody like alcohol? Ironically, he did the Dom Perignon ads for the last cuvée.

In order to not forget to mention anything, I'll report in advance that: I will drink tonight. In excess. Varied alcoholic bewerages. In company of scantily clad females. ;% I will continue tomorrow. With the same itinerary. Mainly, the Bewerage of choise is going to be Champagne or sparkiling wine, depending on where we will be and what is on the offer.
Over, and by 0400 hrs, out!

a couple bottle of some random Dutch beer and some expensive wine at a party hosted by a prof.
I tell you, he and his wife are brave to invite students over to their beautiful, ply us with delicious food and alcohol and not care if we get drunk (which we did)...these parties happen multiple times a year...I'll bet he has photographic evidence of our drunken shenanigans...
I was wondering: Karl Lagerfeld says he has never taken drugs, smoked or... drank alcohol.
Why the f*ck would someone not drink alcohol? I mean, scotch is amazing, beer is delicious, red wine is the sh*t, champagne rocks. Am I supposed NOT to drink?

I had a vesper a few nights ago, the bar used their wells: svedka vodka and beefeater gin, which made it one of the smoothest vespers i've drank.
So much more classy than me :007) I enjoyed a couple Hop Shock IPAs at San Tan Brewery with the wife while noshing on a black bean burger and some Thai hummus. A fun night with a lot of laughs!

I too enjoy some beers once in awhile, I love going to the liquor store and finding some weird brews, usually my girlfriend and I buy one each and drink enjoy them while watching late night tv, though I end up drinking the ones she buys that are too bitter, like Old Rasputin Imperial Stout.
Mmmm, I had a sav. blanc last night that was simply delicious with some strawberries and provolone.
Later on we had a Portugese Cab. Sav. that was VELVETY smooth with dinner (for the meat-eaters it was kabobs, but for moi 'twas black bean and mango salsa with couscous, a zucchini, tomato, basil and feta blend and grilled corn).

Back on the track with a couple of Kronenbourg 1664.
Planning on making some pintxos for me and the SWMBO tonight, so I put some excellent cava (Codorníu Non Plus Ultra) in the fridge in the morning.
It is definitely starting to look like spring outside, so after work cocktails are in order today.

I had a sazerac after work in friday, very tasty. Then a Vesper at home before dinner.
