His first film was all right but I didn't really think much of the second one. Should his films continue to be as bad as the second, I might not be satisfied with his era so I hope his next film (Whenever that comes out! ) will be as good as the first one.
Whenever I watch a Bond film at home I generally go back to the pre-Brosnan days, seeing how perhaps some of the old formulas could be updated for the 2010s.
Or perhaps I go more to the post-Lazenby/pre-Dalton days, when the Bonds did not take themselves too seriously.
Quantum was not exactly my idea of a 'fun film', as one might expect from a Bond. I would like to see a big commando-style battle climax like they had in some of Connery's and Moore's films, updated for the 21st century.
Craig's Bond has given many fans a more Fleming-like Bond, which is what audiences have wanted for a long, long time, so I am in no position to argue against CR and QoS.
But I am slightly curious to see how the next one pans out.
I'm always suprised at people saying that DC Bond is the most Fleming like. I must be reading the wrong novels as I've never thought of Bond as a blond haired thug, an expressionless killing machine, who dumps his friends bodies into any nearby skip. Can't imagine Cary Grant or David Niven doing that, Still the Bond Movies today are made for Bourne fans and most movie goers have never read a Bond book so I don't expect many changes to go back to the old formula,Still it will keep all you Bourne fans happy.
IMNO CR good, alittle over long and missing one major action sequence.
QOS, utter rubbish, a filmed computer game,no substance to it.
A Classic Bond film is like a fantastic three course meal where as, QOS is a Happy Meal.

A forum is for an exchange of opinions and I'm just giving mine I don't expect or even want to change others opinons. But I think QOS is simply badly made. and as for liking Brosnan over craig, I even prefer Woody Allen over Craig.

Well....you obviously prefer Brosnan over Craig then...fair play to you....
Define a 'classic' Bond movie....AVTAK, TMWTGG, DAD, DAF...?...need I go on..?...
It's each to their own, just because you don't like it it doesn't mean it's a bad film....and vice~versa....
BTW, I've read ALL the Bond novels (several times) and I love Qos - theme tune and all
Yea I know....I was just giving mine too....I thought that was the idea..?... 8-)
