It looks like the same weave, and the base colour is accurate (the ocean blue) but the squares are closer to navy than black. That said, it's the closest version I have of the PTS tie.
The tie I picked up is the blue with shadow. The blue on this tie looks very close to the "base colour" of the PTS tie.
I know that early in this thread there was a debate about whether the black spots in the PTS tie were shadows or actual black dots. The tie above looks like the "shadow version".
I'll defer to your opinions as to whether it's the PTS, or a close facsimile. I would guess very close facsimile.
Definitely a great-looking tie, but unfortunately not the PTS tie, as you noted. You can tell by this image of the backside -
The variance between the two colors is very slight (it's clear this is two varying shades of blue), whereas the PTS tie is a bright blue and black combination, so the distinction between the colors is much more pronounced, even in unevenly lit conditions.
I had this very same tie you just purchased (in the 4" width) some time back but sold it off. It is the closest you'll get to the PTS tie though, and nice to see it's the correct width. Enjoy it and wear it in good health!
Apologies for resurrecting this thread, but I was checking out the Tom Ford website and I don't know if this is a reissue, but they have for sale a tie which is almost identical to the Greene Party tie in terms of design and colour:

The champagne one looks just like the tie that I have. However, the other blue tie with the dots is definitely NOT the QoS London tie. Not even close.

I have a Kazan tie which I thought had no Tom Ford label, turns out its stitched hidden inside the flaps
