YES, the smallest of the three bedrooms is now my James Bond room.
Sun is not allowed into that room and the door remains closed at all times.
Can't afford those beautiful free standing glass cases like you have, so instead I use a few wall mounted acrylic display cases designed for 1:18 diecasts.
Anything to help display/protect the collection and keep the dust to a minimum works for me.
recieved this total in the mail, must say although a reletively simple prop, i'm absolutely blown away with it, consider this one of my cuter addition to the collection.

Them glass units are not as expensive as you may think, the smaller ones I only paid 10gbp each
Im with you about the dust mate, anything to keep it off, unfortunately dust gets everywhere, what we need is an air lock
