Likewise from me too Richard, I have purchased a number of items from you and have no problems at all with their authenticity, as stated in my last post it is quite clear that others in the collecting and selling field are happy with what you offer the collector. If not for you and your brother I could only dream of having such items in my collection. I look forward to making future purchases from you and your brother. Oh, and about that rug...............
Hey guys,
I was wondering if you had any suggestions on where to buy an unsigned golden gun replica!
I know that there are a few fakes out there, but at the same time do not want to pay ludicrous amounts for the real thing. I know that when they were released they were sold for $479, but clearly realise that it would be a miracle to get a genuine replica for that price; but I was interested to see what sort of price I could expect to pay for an unsigned one.
Thanks,
Noah

I was just trying to defend myself against some of the comments about getting me kicked off of eBay and someone calling me fly by **** which may not have been aimed at me but I don't appreciate things like that. And now the budgie smuggler comment, which was aimed at me but i will let go as im sure it wasnt meant as a means to wind me up, more just a light hearted comment!
Rich, don't burn the olive branch. I wasn't calling you a fly-by-****. I've explained my comments previously made clearly. To reiterate though, it's my opinion that paper based props are among the easiest to copy. Access to a good quality colour photocopier and the right paper often results in people buying what they are told, and believe, are the originals. Course, you need access to the actual original too, but with enough coin or the right names in the phone book this can be achieved.
Now my point about who to buy from is simply my opinion, nothing more. Everyone is more than welcome to buy whatever from whoever. It would seem some stand by you here and others are more dubious, this isn't a great surprise, it's quite normal and human nature to get good and bad reviews for things and people, it's where the majority of votes land that paints the picture though. I'd say in your case the futures bright.
Like I said previously, I've seen genuine items and also some real rip offs appear on ebay. Again this is no big surprise but people should be wary of what it is they're supposed to be buying.
Now the part about either buying from an ebayer or buying from a member here. IF the buyer has any doubts, is sitting on the fence or suspects that original order of service for poor Sir Robert is a fake, I would strongly suggest that they instead contact one of the guys here who specialises in the paper prop side of things. Why? Well say the coin is stumped up on ebay for a paper prop that's sold as an original, big money changes hands and lo and behold a cheap copy arrives in the post. Disappointment ensues. Now if they'd had doubts and got an AJBer to make them a replica, they'd end up spending much less for a bang on copy. Ok, so you won't get an original, you'd still have a copy, but it'd be a lot less and better made than a simple photocopy would. It all depends on what you're wanting to buy and who you place your trust in.
Which makes me think of another point, not really aimed at anyone, just a bit if advice; COA's aren't worth **** when buying from an individual. At best it points out what you've already been told, at worst it's just a lie on a fancy bit if paper. For me, COA's hold barely any point or value.
At the end of it rich, AJB welcomes all new members. No one here is wanting to force anyone away or cause trouble. However, AJB has a few members, myself included I guess who can't stand seeing people mislead or ripped off. From time to time these member will step up and voice their opinions for the sole aim of trying to protect the interests of fellow members who may not be so wise or experienced in the field of collecting bond stuff. DON'T assume anyone is trying to point fingers or get you banned from anything unless they specifically say so. I for one am not calling you anything. You seem genuine, most people are happy with your service. Kudos for you speaking out and voicing your opinion, of which you are totally entitled to do of course, but just don't go loading both barrels straight off.
Welcome to the forum rich, hopefully you'll stick around.
Thanks MG, no hard feelings and I apologise if I went on one a bit but as I said, I am passionate about what I do and was just standing up for myself that's all. I hate people that sell copies and replicas as genuine items and rip people off and know all too well that you can get scammed with paperwork as I warn people about the dangers of this all the time! And thats the reason I dont bother doing my own Coa's with my items because they arent worth the paper they are printed on! Now we have all sorted this out, please let's all move on and enjoy what we do here!
Many thanks and best regards
Richard

I've been buying quite a bit from Richard (ukreenactors2003) in the last couple of months with his collection of storyboards from the BMW sequences plus bits + pieces that relate to the display with my Tomorrow Never Dies car (apologies if I'm outbidding anyone here) and I have been quite happy with the pieces + their provenance.

Noah, in the thread you started regarding this Kan posted;
I got 10 SE GG myself, because sometimes my money is useless and I got to use them for trades
Maybe you should give Kan a shout? It doesn't seem like anyone on AJB has an LE for sale at the moment, unless they've contacted you in private via pm.

Yes I did contact him but no reply. Just spreading it out there that there is a willing buyer, and that any leads would be useful.

I was just trying to defend myself against some of the comments about getting me kicked off of eBay and someone calling me fly by **** which may not have been aimed at me but I don't appreciate things like that. I am an honest person, that's the only point I was trying to get across! Blair, I'm glad you are now satisfied and we can forget about this.
Regards to all.

Richard - I am at a loss. Many of the comments above have been in your favour, backing up your integrity and background. I believe the question of the "fillers" in your eBay sales has been vindicated. Let us let this matter rest and thank you for your continued support for genuine collectors.
Now everyone is happy with Richard, a change of subject, did anyone notice that someone was recently selling a number plate from one of the BMWs from TND recently. The guy selling it was from Penzance in Cornwall and had, he said, got it from a relative who worked on the stunt crew. The sale was due to him wanting to complete his pilots licence. Now, the funny thing is, someone from Penzance was selling a number plate from one of the BMWs in TND earlier this year. The sale was to finance building a hot rod. The one from earlier this year didn't sell despite several offers, (didn't meet the reserve price). coincidence, two BMW plates from the same film being sold by someone from Penzance.....nah...don't believe in coincidence like this, especially when the latest listing has been signed by Pierce BROSNAN, and just to make sure hes initialed it with T.N.D. Any signature experts out there can give an opinion ?

Can't & won't comment about signature etc but screen "used" plates have additional details as the real German plates do:
This was sold through Christies a few years back as an "Unused" back-up
There where at least 10 similar BMW 740 iL with 750 iL badges around the corner and all carried this number plate.
These plates did not look remotely like a real german number plate would look like.
Then I stand corrected. I believed incorrectly that the add-ons represented either German insurance or taxation proof details? Fact is the screen cars plates had these add-ons ( even if they did not look like real German plates?) & the back up plates did not which was the theme of this thread...screen plates or not?
german numberplates looked like that and if you had this kind of plate since 1994 or longer, you may keep it that way:
From 1994 all new car plates look like that:
Square formate plates are only mounted on US cars, Beetles and motorbikes and look like that:
the colored dot is for the technical inspection deadline and changes every year.
The other stamp is a government stamp, differs on where the plate has been issued.
In the late 90s cars had both stamps on the front and rear plate, recently only the rear plates carry both stamps, the front plate only has the government colorless stamp.
B- would mean that the car was registered in Berlin btw.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Although the auction has finished, (unsold), you can still view it thru completed listings. Im sure I read somewhere that the front and rear plates differ, not so much in their colour but the style or layout. I'll ask my son who lives over there what they are like. All the same a very suspicious item.
I have a pair of orlebar brown trunks in size 32 for sale on ebay. same color as the ones in skyfall (sky). only difference is these are the bulldog style and not the setter.
great pair of trunks, they just don't fit! a little bigger than a 32. fit more like a 34.
they're priced very low for a quick sale! ($115 on a buy it now)
PLEASE NOTE: shipping to the lower 48 united states only, no international shipping so please don't ask.
