Great...you should post some pictures...and welcome to AJB -{
Thank you very much. I already bought a considerably cheaper lambskin imitation of this jacket about six months ago. While it is a nice looking jacket in it's own right, I finally decided it was time to get the real thing! I'll consider posting a pic once it arrives!
In the meantime here is a picture of me wearing the "fake" jacket:
Dear AJB007 forum,
I'm a longtime Bond fan who, unfortunately due to reasons of moving home, has to sell much of my Bond collection.
I'll be listing items over the next few months via my Ebay account, so please take a look if you are interested. Most of my collection is books, magazines, comics and toys from the 1980s onwards.
Only seven items listed so far but many more to follow.
Thanks for your kind attention. Feel free to PM me with any requests or wish lists, particularly regarding books or magazines from this period as this is where my collection is most extensive.

That's a damn good alternative to the ED jacket. Where did you get it? who makes it?

I made my own distressing using fine-grain sandpaper, a cleaning sponge and av LOT of patience ) I can highly reccommend the jacket as it is probably as close as you can get to the original at that price. And although this is a much cheaper lambskin, it is a very comfortable jacket and the fit is awsome!

Persol 2747s with 2 pairs of lenses listed on eBay - not strictly speaking Bond but a better alternative for those of us with smaller faces than the Persol 2720 worn in CR. I bought them and replaced the original brown Persol polarised lens with green alternatives for a more accurate look but I'm thinning down items I don't use/wear and these are up for grabs.
If anyone on the forum wants them please pm me; happy to ship overseas from the UK.

Today I got the Menlo jacket that I bought from Dufus. I love it! I took a pic comparing it to the "fake" one I had and the difference is HUGE when compared side by side. This jacket is really high quality and has a great fit. The Pictures does not do it justice. Now I have completed my Skyfall collection of the three main jackets - the Barbour, the peacoat and now the Menlo!
The jacket looks great. Super jealous. glad to see the small fits so snug. You look like a similar size to me. I was always wondering if a small would do the trick. Now I have a better idea. Thanks for sharing.

I wouldn't say the jacket is overly snug, however it does have the benefit of having rather roomy shoulders wich I need due to my shoulders being broad. But even though I'm rather slender the rest of the jacket fits well and has a nice shape. And it's incredibly comfortable!
Now seeing these pics, It looks like even a small would be a little too big on me. Seems to fit you perfectly and you have a shirt and a sweater on underneath. Is it super tight zipped up? Thanks for sharing. This is really helping.

The one thing I was worried about concerning the jacket was that the sleeves would be too long. I have seen many pictures of people wearing the jacket, especially here on AJB007, and the sleeves where way too long. But luckily the leeves on my jacket are a good lenght. I wouldn't say the jacket is tight when zipped up. The jacket has so called "action pleats" in the back wich gives extra room but even without them it wouldnt be that tight. The good thing about this jacket is that it keeps that V-shape of the male torso while most modern jackets are cut straight and with narrow shoulders, hence this has a better fit IMO.
I'm new to the forum though I've been obseving it for quite some time now
but since someone has now posted a link to the blue bogner jacket here are my two cents on it (plus my introduction):
I've tried to get hold of it 2 months ago but we couln't agree on a (IMO reasonable) price.since then it has been listed for about
6 times without any price drop.but if some of you are really interested in this item the seller was willing to sell it for 2000 euros
(which I as a 19yo can't really afford), so try your luck
