Well someone might buy it thinking it was screen accurate and it's not. If someone bought it and then found out it wasn't the same, you could have a load of hassle with refund or PP claims. Best to be honest up front and put that disclaimer in there.

If the tie sells for what I am asking for I would take a loss. So much for a "quick profit."

If anyone wants to ask how much I paid for something before selling it I will be more than happy to tell you.

Example. Sold my Billy Reid to a member for $400 which I wore twice. I paid $700.

    I sold 2 RLBL suits which I paid $850 for $400.

I sold a Tom Ford Suit for $650 which I paid $460, Sold another one for 1800 (cash + trade value) which I purchased for 1000

Sold the Skyfall PTS Tie for 1300 which I paid 900

    Sold a Menlo for 600 which I paid 600

Sold another Menlo for 450 which I paid 500

Any other questions please keep it to PMs instead of dropping snide remarks on a thread @kadd

In my eBay posting I included all data that was provided to me from Blair and included his photographs which were provided. I didn't realize there was a difference between the one in the film vs. the one I purchased as it wasn't data I was provided with. No comment on Blair's thread when I purchased them for a small fortune (nearly $3k)

I am extremely open in my dealings with the gentleman on AJB007 and provide a lower price than anywhere else. That is due to respect. If a member is interested in something I always give him first dibs even if I have a higher offer elsewhere. I don't know if many people would say the same.

I enjoy my dealings and conversations with you guys and didn't and don't exploit anything from this forum.

    Best,
    Stefan

Again, with the jab. Two of the ties I received from Blair were very skinnny and one looked fuller but still slim. And I was asking which one he had.

Honestly I never thought to pull out a tape measure to see if it was 7cm. 8-)

    Regardless of that. I updated the eBay post to state this one is closer to 3.5 and the one custom made for the film was 7cm per sources who had the ties made. -{

You know what, I love this forum and don't want to contribute to any negativity.

Stefan I've deleted my previous posts. It's your tie and you're entitled to do what you want with it.

All the best with the sale.

If the info is now in the listing, then all's good.

The eBay prices today are good. The book had a limited number of copies issued in its different editions, and is a comprehensive volume.

Watched this thread with interest yesterday as it became clearer what was going on.
This forum is a great place, with great people
In the last few months a few members have seemed to join and use it as a trading forum. Buying and selling (often at increased prices).
Whilst there is no law about that, keep it to the likes of Ebay
This forum is about fans, collectors and obsessives
I have been lucky enough to make friends here, guys who have sold items to me at zero profit, when in all truth those items would have made them big money elsewhere, but they were happier that they went to a fellow member / fan who would treasure that item (and not sell on) and was also over the moon to get something they may have missed. Whilst I wont mention which guys, my JV Racer, TF Spectre ties and BC chinos came to me this way. I have returned that trust in every selling transaction Ive made. J crews x 2, Madagascar shirt, Solden jacket to name a few....
Lets get our forum back to this gentlemans agreement of helping fellow Bond fans and away from profiteering.

I feel like most people on here want as screen accurate as possible when looking to make a purchase. If it's an alternative item such as a different color or pattern, it should be notated as such. I know everyone on here wants to help each other out in regards to collecting these rare items, but please just make sure that if you're saying some is screen accurate it is and if it's alternative say so.

As for everyone else looking to make the purchase based on the recommendations of others, please do your homework and research before plunking down the money anf finding out it is not exactly what you wanted in the first place. This forum has a lot of great information, so also do your own diligence.

Those that know what the SA belt looks like can confirm or state otherwise on this one.

It is a Cucinelli belt that is at least very similar to the one in Spectre. Out of my budget currently.

Different buckle (not squared edged) and the non woven part is not as long as the SA one.

Not too bad for a "close enough" option from the same brand.

Someone should get the label data on this one. Might be another Greene Planet suit. Has the 3/2 roll, very dark navy.

Has to be a specific material to be the Green Party suit too as most are not and just Navy suits of the same cut, so it is a very slim chance of finding the correct Green Party suit.

Still worth checking it out. That is how I found the Greene Party Suit that I sold. I asked about the tag once I found one that has similar features, checked with DZ on label and it was a match.

    Doesn't hurt to ask.

Fabric color is correct. It does not say Base B which the Greene Planet Suit did.

But it does also have nearly identical features, 3/2 roll ticket pocket, 5 button cuffs. This suits trousers however come with both side tabs (SA) and belt loops (not SA).

    Now that all data has been looked into for an easy purchase or pass, I will leave this one be. -{

So fabric colour is Navy but it aint the correct fabric???

  • nafets47nafets47 FloridaPosts: 939MI6 Agent
No it is the correct fabric. Just a different season when the yarn was made. If you look at the email traffic I had with TF NY the first fabric code mentioned is DZ's then the second was the other Greene Party suit that I sold to a member here. DZ's says 100% wool as well.

This one does not have the fit type, Base A, Base B, etc. mentioned on the label so I cant confirm that it is 100% SA due to the fit. However it does have the same 3/2 roll, etc. as stated above.
