TIS - "The moment you think you got it figured - you're wrong"
ok guys, got one for you. I import classic land rovers to the states from EU but mostly from the UK.
Well my contact in the UK emailed us an ad for a Land Rover Defender that was for sale that had been featured in the ending of "The Living Daylights". It was dressed up with extra body panels for the film to look more like a Russian Jeep. After the filming, Keith Gott Land Rover bought it and took the extra body panels off, added a hard top and sold it to the owner we bought it from.
The Defender doesn't look like it did in the film anymore, but there are rivets where the panels were and still has the internal roll bar which is super rare for this year of defender as they usually(and to this day) have external roll cages.
Here's a pic of the Rover from the film.
What I'm looking for is a way to authenticate that this is the same rover as the one in the film. All the rivets match up and the original title holder is MGM.
Any help is greatly appreciated! I'll have a pic of what this rover looks like now asap. It's getting original sand paint like it had in the film.
Anybody know the make and model number of the radio Silva ( dressed as policeman ) uses to detonate the underground bomb in skyfall. Any ideas would be grateful received

Sorry for laughing, but AJB has had a long discussion on people asking

Plenty of useful advice here. http://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/717149/#p717149

I've updated my info on my profile when I first logged in, but not sure how much more information you want?
ps: the first thing I did was to read the Suggestions and Announcements section, as this is usual forum etiquette for me.
The reason I am asking is that I've already searched EBay and other JB sites but haven't ever found another reference to the sweatshirt except for the website in my original post. I was directed here as a place where people would be aware of the item and it's relative value to collectors.
"Never guess. Unless you have to. There's enough uncertainty in the universe as it is." - The Fourth Doctor (Logopolis 1981).
I invited Johnnymain after he raised this question on another site on which we've both known each for a number of years.
If you want to castigate someone for being new and not knowing *all* the nuances of your local lore, then point fingers at me, instead. He only posted in good faith at my suggestion.
I honestly didn't know as this isn't an area of the site known to me at all. I apologise for my ignorance causing discomfort to others...
Thank you for your follow-up post bidding him welcome though... -{
I don't think there was any Castigation, merely posting a link , that may

Oh, for sure! Yes, perhaps castigate was a bit of a strong word: probably due to my reaction that someone I invited may have felt a little awkward that his question missed some important step in etiquette. I accept the blame as I suggested he come here to ask just that question.
Yes, of course we're all friends here and you have ALL made me feel very welcome here. This is a great site and, of course, we all share a common interest in all things Bond.
Johnnymain: I hope you feel at home here and enjoy the crowd. -{
If you haven't already check your Messages 002 and Johnnymain.
I'd hate to think I made anyone feel, not welcome or uncomfortable.
It was never my intention. -{

Absolutely, perfectly alright by me. Thank you for your kind words and elucidation. As I have written to you, I clearly have an area of personal development to work on, vis-a-vis my over-protective nature and failure (in this case) to ascertain the correct facts. My apologies for seeming to pillory you like this (and so publicly!). Anyone with such an awesome username as yours cannot be a bad chap at all...

Has anyone got any idea if it's worth much these days?

Welcome to AJB.
I've not seen such a shirt, but on ebay you may get between 5-20 US$ with some crazy bidders even a bit more.
I doubt that there is a serious collector here on AJB who will be crazy to get it - if I am wrong, you've certainly received some offers via pm.
If not - the mentioned amount will be realistic.
