To celebrate the 40th birthday of the digital watch, Hamilton is releasing its own digital timepiece, the Pulsonic.
The Pulsonic combines a Swiss automatic movement with a digital face that stays powered for 82 days.
The case in stainless steel, black PVD or gold-plate PVD measures 39mm x 49mm. It has a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 50 meters.
Price: $1,495 - It will be available October 2010.

Looks like a great advancement in horology and a nice face lift from the last digital Men In Black Hamilton.

Is this a watch that has a rechargeable battery? Or is it Solar powered? I'd hate to have to change the battery every 82 days.
I own a Hamilton railroad pocketwatch made in 1903...and 100% American made like they used to be. Still works, still looks great although I get it serviced every 2-3 years. The same with my 1960 Hamilton automatic.
I love the vintage look watches; never been much of a digital fan even when they were really popular.
I wouldn't pay that much for any digital piece but I'd be stupid not to accept it for a gift.
