Here is one that really outrages me!! The first color autograph below is SUPPOSEDLY signed by Dolores Keator, who played Strangways' secretary Mary in DR. NO. I am certain it is 100% fake...yet it shows up almost weekly on eBay, minimum bid $1.00...and sometimes goes for very high prices.

I'd just like to add that the opinion voiced by Dr No07 is HIS personal opinion and not necessarily the opinion of AJB.

Can I just add at this point that comments such as the one quoted, whilst have the best intentions, can land, not only the individual involved, but AJB too, into a lawsuit. Please be very careful when claiming something to be 100% fake - and PLEASE refrain from adding that someone could be selling an autograph knowing that it's a fake.

    Thank you for understanding.

Lawsuit from whom? I haven't mentioned any sources or sellers. Anyway, I GUARANTEE that it won't happen again.

    A lawsuit from the seller.

And thank you for not mentioning any sources or sellers. I hope you understand what I was doing (for the sake of AJB ) and it wasn't meant as a slight on yourself.

I hope you will continue to participate in this thread.

I think you are generally all right with the likes of Dalton. I say that because, the photos he has signed by Dalton seem to be obtained back in the early 90s when he was ok about signing Bond stuff.

So yeah, you should be fine.

    Hi guys
just a quick post to ask about this eBay Item number: 320486137422
    what do you think?
If fake what's the best place to purchase authentic Daniel craig autos.

    Thanks in advance
  • Disco VolanteDisco Volante Surrey, EnglandPosts: 543MI6 Agent
Daniel Craig has moved away from signing his name to a simple 'DC' in the last few years, but I've never seen one like this. I personally wouldn't touch it (and I think it's a bit pricey too).
I have had a look through the sellers feedback though and found a Joanna Lumley and Pierce Brosnan from December 09 and they do look genuine.

I would source my autographs through Bondcollectibles on ebay (and only one or two other trusted sources) and I would try them. You'll certainly pick up a Daniel Craig for less than £60 with them.

Here's a link to one of them (apologies, this should actually be in the ebay thread, but this is for reference).

I must admit at first I thought it looked ok, but on closer inspection there are certain things that don't add up. He does sign nowadays 'DC' but this one is a bit 'oo-iff' and that 'C' looks a bit dodgy. I'm presuming this was 'signed by him' at a premier or something as it looks a little rushed does the signature. The price seemed ok (as this is roughly the minimum price you'd expect to pay for a Daniel Craig signature.) But with this one, I'd stear clear of just to be on the safe side.

Absolutely, you will get a Daniel Craig autograph for under £60 from Bondcollectibles easily. Bondstars are also another trust-worthy company when it comes to buying genuine autographs as you know because we have bought from them a lot in the past. :)) Another company which were good to buy from before they sadly ceased trading a few years ago, were a company called 'Autographs-Ink.'

I received this autograph from Brosnan TTM around 8 years ago.

I have always believed it to be genuine, but now I suspect it to be secreterial as it looks a little different to other signatures of his.

Can anyone else let me know what they think regarding it's authenticity?
  • Disco VolanteDisco Volante Surrey, EnglandPosts: 543MI6 Agent
Trouble with Brosnan's autograph is that it has changed so drastically over the years (and most of his are typcially obtained in person with him standing or walking) I actually find his the hardest to tell if it's genuine or not.

It's dated '02, but I actually think it looks like one of his older ones from the mid 90's. I have a 'love life' on one of my ones which I got through Bondocllectibles.

Can't be 100% sure on this one Jamie - sorry.

I am sorry to hear that Dalton is not to fond of signing pictures and stuff any more. I can understand his reasons thought, it is shame that so many people get autographs and then sell them at inflated prices. As a fan I am glad that collecting autographs from people from the James Bond series is not as hard as other film and television series autographs are to obtain. For instance several of the Star Trek actors now charge money at conventions due to people selling off the autographs for money later on. At the 2009 Dragon con in Atlanta GA, I heard that William Shatner was charging $75.00 for his autograph.

So far the only autograph I have is Desmond Llywellyn's which a friend gave to me in the mid 1990's, after meeting him thought mutual friends in England. I would like to add some more in the future and now I know where to start.

    Thanks

The links you have posted there look good enough to me, with the exception of a few of them.

The prices shown for many of the signatures are around the same price bracket that you would expect to pay at a dealer.

Verdict: Tread carefully with some of the signatures you quoted in the links.

    Hope that helps!

I'm putting together a little photo collage of signed photos of all the bonds and I'm wondering whether what I have is legit.

In my opinion there are only two autographs there that are authentic. Lazenby and Brosnan.
