Jennifer Connelly is a very good actress. But while there is no doubt she is still beautifull, she is past her prime. She should have been used during the Brosnan years. She would be a lot more convincing as Dr Christmas Jones, of cource.
Okay here we go. Adele Silva would suck as a Bond girl. Back in time, the Bond women were reallt gorgeous whereas now they are nothing but small girls. A Bond girl should be a real woman and Adele isn't.
Second: What is it that Mendes will reinvent...? i don't want to see a director putting his own trademarks upon this series. I want to see scriptwriters write some good scripts and the director to put together a great crew and, if possible, go back to Ian Fleming to pick up elements that have not been used. I really don't like the new approach. Casino Royale was great but Quantum Of Solace was terrible. Can we please move on from the Quantum organization...? It could be nice to move on from that.
And I do not want to hear Vespers name mentioned anymore. She is in the past. That is the bloody concept.
How can they cast girls before they even have a story...? And why Kabul...? Who has said anything about filming in Kabul...? What is interesting about that city...? Just because there is a war going on doesn't mean that there is anything of interest for 007.
Sam Mendes shouldn't have to much to say about the script. And if he is not satisfied with what has been done in the past, he should stay the **** away from this project.

I'm a big fan of Scarlett Johansson, but I'm still partial to the practice of casting lesser-known but talented European actresses as Bond girls (e.g. Eva Green).
Rumor season has begun. Frieda Pinto is a very pretty girl, my only concern is that women from her background tend to very reserved as far what they will do on screen of a sexual nature. If she is willing to be a typical Bond girl I am all for it. Then again, with the lack of eroticism in the Craig films, maybe it doesn't matter.

Freida Pinto would be a great choise! Freida is one of teh most beautiful women working in films today and she is not yet overused. I don't get the comment about the lack of eroticism in the DC Bonds. The red dress scene with Solange in CR and the hotel scene where Bond is Kissing Fields back in QoS is every bit as erotic as anything in the previous Bonds.

I think the source was me, since she is in "Immortals" with Henry Cavill, and she plays his love interest! Interesting huh? Future Bond gets her ) ) She has a pretty wild sex scene (per director's interview, since the film will be released on Nov. 11) with Cavill in Immortals so I really don't think that will be a problem. She is booked for the rest of the year, I doubt she can even make time for Bond 23. And she seems to favor either artsy or peculiar movies.
Trisha Helfer! I love, love, love her. She was great on Battlestar Galactica and I thought she was even better on the second season of Dark Blue, a very good police drama on TNT. They sadly ended it now, she played an FBI agent (so perfect to take on a Bond girl role). She's beautiful and man, can she play tough. There's the usual problem though: she is REALLY tall, so she'd tower over Craig.
I really can't come up with a good list of names, actresses and/or models I can think of are all either too young or too tall. Ugh. I love Taylor Cole (she is on "The Event") but she's way too young to play a Bond girl with Craig. Trisha Helfer is really great... possibly the best name I've seen mentioned so far. They'd have to come up with something for the height though.
