i wouldnt be fussed if it was interior but because it's the main structure i think i'll try and send it back as i dont think they will have part 3 in stock now.
i've emailed them anyway so they may get back to me. hope it's all free of charge though lol!
edit **** i rang them and replacement done no fuss at all **** dont even have to send it back thank you GE
interesting thought...will they issue a replacement for me since I'm not subscribed? Also how can they be sure that I bought an issue in the first place? I think a lot of people would then abuse this system, especially since you are not required to send a "faulty" part back. ?:)
Does anybody know if inner and outer wheel rims will be made out of die-cast? I'm asking because I didn't expect cylinder block to be made out of die-cast...

have a look on the website, i think it says if you arent subscribed then to go to your local newagents? it's on the main help page though
they did ask me for my account number along with a couple of security questions and then they sent it out. so i guess thats how they are getting round it.
Deffo go for a replacement! I personally went through about 5 issues in a shop before deciding which one to go for. Some have small imperfections, some very obvious...get a replacement as I'm about to do the same with mine, but with engine part..
What is wrong with the engine part? Is it a major defect? Could you not see the problem before you bought it?

there is a squiggly type scratch on one side that wasn't visible in original packaging. Unfortunately it is a bit too obvious..

I have no idea. Nor do I know what the bumper is made from but it is surprisingly heavy. I would image the wheel rims will be made from the same material.
News regarding the next delivery of issues 4-7 from 007DB5 on Facebook
"Hi everyone, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we will be posting out issues 4,5,6 & 7 on Monday and Tuesday next week. Clearly there have been a lot of problems with Royal Mail, though a majority of you all should receive your next package in about a week.
In other news - we have changed the order of the subscription gifts, so the next gift you will receive will be the screw box".
Is there any delay as mine seem not to have been despatched yet (Wednesday)
Is there any delay as mine seem not to have been despatched yet (Wednesday)
The word from GE is that all issues 4-7 where despatched either Monday or Tuesday as planned. We should realistically expect to start receiving them at the beginning of next week although they should only be taking 2-3 days.
Our online accounts usually take a little longer to be updated.
Just got an email from Bissett Mags in response to my query about release of this series in Oz:
"Thank you for your email.
At this stage, we have not been advised of any plans to release this title in Australia.
However, should it be released in Australia, it will be on sale in all Newsagents and advertised on the television upon its release.
Please visit our website www.bissettmags.com.au to keep up to date on the latest releases.
Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us again."
Guess I will need to keep asking GE Fabbri in the UK for more news. I am hoping they will want to release this series here once the James Bond Car Collection runs its full course.

We are now only on week 5 and maybe when GE know how many unsold copies there are, they will consider widening their marketing area. However, you could ask GE why they print that it is available in Australia when it clearly isn't.

Well it was the same with the James Bond Car collection. I believe that we all receive the same magazine. It has prices in British pounds and South African rands printed on it, not even in Australian or NZ dollars. Clearly when preparing the magazine GE Fabbri must have at least considered release in other countries. And, in the case of JBCC the Australian relase was months after the UK (and NZ even later). So I can understand that they want to see how well it sells in the UK first. I would suspect that they will release it elsewhere not if it doesn't sell in the UK, but on the contrary. If it flops there, there is no point trying in different markets. But if it sells well, it is easy to use the same moulds to make more (and have higher profits!).
tazzz
Don't worry, it's the first thing that comes up on the website and on their automated phone system. It's a misprint, when you fit the bumper to the body it will stay in place. Think we might be in for a few more of these glitches but that's all part of the game.

I keep seeing people referring to a parts list. Is this something that came with issue 1? I didn't get one with my sub, so if it's missing I need to get on to GE and get it sent out to me.

I bought issue 1 from my newsagent and got this booklet then. It includes a complete list of parts and when we get them on the last 2 pages.
When I subscribed online I forgot to change what issue I wanted my subscription to start from and received 1-3 in the post. This booklet was not included in that first delivery nor was there any mention of it being missing. I wasn't really bothered about it as I had it already.
There seem to be a lot of people who haven't received this yet so I would wait and see if it arrives with issues 4-7 next week.
Just checked my online account paid on the 3rd by direct debit, still not dispatched yet??? i thought these was posted on the the 7/8th feb.. I might give them a ring to see whats happening??

My DD was on the 25th Jan and my online account says despatch was the 10th Feb but believe they went out on either Monday or Tuesday this week.
Has anyone who originally subscribed had any info on when to expect payments to start and also deliveries
I haven't heard anything yet
I received a "Thank you for your order" email straight away and then, about 4 days later, I received the "Welcome Letter" email with my account number and a complete schedule of payment dates and amounts right up until Aug 2012.

Yeah, the issue 1 I got seemed a bit dodgy; there was a piece of scrap paper stuck to the back of the parts blister and no large backing card, so it looks like they just didn't bother putting that parts list in.
Like you say, they may send it with the next issues so I'll see. If not, then I'll get onto them.
Thanks for the info!

D'oh! Sorry, didn't notice I even had one. Have replied and I'll keep an eye on the top right of the screen from now on!
Here's a weird thing: I thought I'd sign up to the website you all keep talking about and I got this error message, "Your browser was detected as Other, identifying itself as Mozilla/5.0 (en-GB) Firefox/3.5. One of the following browsers is required: * Internet Explorer * Netscape 7 or higher (Gecko) * Opera * Safari * Netscape 6 (Gecko) "
Anyone else get this with Firefox? I'll be darned if I'm gonna infect my PC with IE for the sake of checking my sub status! ) *Goes off to to see if Opera's still installed somewhere...*

how stupid am i !!!
still no word from GE Fabbri tho - disappointing to say the least
If it will still be obvious when the other engine parts are mounted around it, then you should try and replace it.
Why not call GE and tell them where you bought it and ask, if you return that one part would they replace it? If you don't ask you don't get!

"007 DB5 Hi everyone, just to confirm, the only sound effects on the model are the horn and the engine".
This is the first time I have seen confirmation of the rumour about engine sounds.
