no there not,you can remove them, push out the pins below the tray

if you look at the 007db5 facebook page the guy is telling you that the only problem is 1 tyre, all other parts are the same

i have an original tyre,so i will have to get a correct one

not sure if this has been mentioned before but what i have noticed is that the new run for 2011,all the issues have the part numbers on the packageing but the test run in 2010 didn't,also the weapons drawer in 2011 ,the guns come separately from the drawer, but in the test run they didn,t(does anyone know if they can come out as i haven't opened mine yet)
i subscribed in 2010 for the test run and kept my subscription going but i have ordered the new run from 2011 from my local wh smith

Total Rubbish ,the parts are removable from the gun tray on the first run,a quick phone call confirmed that the parts are the same on both runs, the reason people are getting damaged new subscriptions is they are repackaged returns.
the magazines may differ, but on the first issue of the original run the leaflet parts are all mixed up then.

What exactly do you mean by "The reason people are getting damaged new subscriptions is thet are repackaged returns" Where did this info eminate from?

That's what I heard too, but since I never got the original issue 3 (out of stock back then), I should be getting it soon now... But I suddenly wonder, if they changed the order around after the test run, will I get the new issue 3 with the wrong part, or will I get the correct part (tyre) with an issue I already have? I need the tyre and issue 3, so...

Does anyone know what's going on with the payment dates? My welcome e-mail says:
    1. If you pay by credit/debit card, your first payment will be 15.97.

    2. You will then be charged £27.96 for 4 issues at a time every 28 days

My first payment came out on 13-01-11, quickly followed by another payment on 07-02-11 and I've just checked my bank account to see that there's another lot come out today (01-03-11).

Is this right? Because that's a bloody funny 28 days in my book! I make it 24 days and 21 days respectively (not including payment days).

Will this settle down? I really don't need it coming out whenever GE feel like taking it as I'm on a low income and need to properly budget for these sub payments.

Likewise - I'm fully expecting the payment cycle to settle down from here on in now that the initial deliveries have been caught up... Otherwise I think I'll be asking them what is going on. My third payment went out last week so I'm very much expecting the third delivery to follow very soon...

I'm a bit surprised re the comments on repackaged returns - can't imagine why they would do this as surely they will just get them returned again... And then will need to replace again... Or is this in reference to the original run (and thus nothing actually wrong with the mag/parts) and those that cancelled when the product was suspended?

well i am now completely baffled - it seems the only issue in the new "run" thats the same as the original is issue 1

Ive had issues 1, 2, 5 and 7 and my issue 7 is different from the issue 7 shown on their website ( in the back orders bit ) !!!

anyone else had the same ???

spose I'm gona have to ring em again !!
  • Leijo007Leijo007 Posts: 106MI6 Agent
My subscriber for me in the UK (I live in the Netherlands myself) e-mailed me today to tell me that she received issue 7 free of charge (since that's what the test run subscribers were promised).

With that came the parts from issue 7 (in a plastic BAG!?!), the Avon tyre to replace the test run version (which I never received anyway), the Aston Martin book (don't know yet if it was damaged or not, and if it's the hard- or softcover), the screw box, four part identification sheets (yes, all four of them), and a letter saying this issue is free of charge, and that issues 8-11 and the third free gift will be shipped at the beginning of March.

The only thing I still need now (as far as I know), is issue 3 (not the car parts, but the magazine). By the way, can anyone who has been subscribed to the test run and actually has received the original issue 3 (which had the tyre with it), tell me if the new issue 3 is the same as the old one (I'm not talking about the car parts that come with it, I'm talking about the contents of the magazine). Thanks!

There was no issue 7 in the test run, so I suppose they just changed the cover before releasing it, and haven't changed it yet on their back orders site. Isn't that a possibility?

I am now totally confused by this collection (ie their despatches)

    1) First despatch sent 3 times although only requested once
    2) Second Delivery Mags were not wrapped in the polythene bag as they should have been -Therefore scratched, bent, torn etc. - Requested and G E Fabbri Helpdesk which was polite and courteous agreed to a replacement which was sent on the 18th Feb according to online account.
    3) A Third delivery (Full Order) was again despatched on the 25th Feb. (This date only appeared today and was not there previously).

I am now totally confused as to their despatch dates. and what is going on! Inforned that although Feb 18 was the date sent to the warehouse it actuslly shows a dsptactch date on the online account? This does not bear out with previous experiance.

Just got the replacements for issues 4 to 7 and despite what the Guy From G E Fabbri saying that the mags were "The 4 Magazines are wrapped in a plastic bag before being put into the grey plastic bag". They were as usual not and totally damaged yet again. Called Again for a replacement - no problem despite being told previously that only one replacement would be made. Queried why I was informed that I was the only person complaining. Clearly I am not. This board, their Facebook page and The Partworks Forum state otherwise!!! Queried this with someone else who said that there are No such rules as to the "Only Entitled To One Replacement"
Heard a roumor that "From Issue 8 ONWARDS" the packaging will be improved"
The next batch are being despatched Today and Tomorrow according to the 007 Facebook Page.

Hi guys, havnt posted on here for a while, but read it everyday.

After lots of phone calls & emails, I've received nothing since last year, only lots of polite promises about where & when.
Really fed up with all it now. I'm going to quit & bin the few bits I did receive last year If I don't get something in the post before the end of March. I've never known such a farce, seeing as they had about 8 months to get it right & sorted since the trial launch. Reading some of your comments makes me realize, at least I'm not the only one. Here's hoping some one at GE pulls their finger out.
    Rant done.

    Dear G E Fabbri

Can the say if YOU are going to improve on the despatch packaging or not? as This appears to be a problem of concern across all forums and your Face Book Page.

It would be interesting to her from you.
  • Michael CorbenMichael Corben Leicester, UKPosts: 31MI6 Agent
I understand that some of you guys do have genuine reasons to complain about packaging or email responses but is this forum the correct place to post your questions?

You are only going to get more upset if you do not get a response here but you have no real proof that anyone from GE Fabbri actually read this.

Surely, it would be much better to make your complaint directly but in private. That way you are more likely to get your concerns, queries and questions answered.

Then feel free to share those responses with the rest of us. Otherwise this forum just becomes a place to have a good moan/rant that no one will want to read :(

We are still only 8 weeks into an 85 week project. So is there really anything to get into a panic over yet?

    In defence of GE Fabbri

Guys as an original subscriber I like most received my original copies in poor condition & I sent many emails by the official website & this forum requesting replacements. It took time but the replacements did arrive. I raised the concern of the 2nd generation tyre being Dunlop branded as the original was not as well as the re-release magazine containing 4 blueprint type parts sheets where the originals did not. So far all concerns I have raised have been addressed by the publisher and action taken where required. Remember the only serious competition this model has is from Diamond Cars in Germany @ 3,500 Euros so gripes aside the model is still incredibly good vaue for money and no I DO NOT work for GE FABBRI..lol

I've just checked my online account and issues 8-11 + binder are on their way. Despatch date 3rd March.

    Thats all I will say.

Okay, well we will see how long it takes for you to get a response here. But you seemed to have missed my point which is; Wouldn't it be better to direct your concerns directly rather than through a public forum? Surely, getting an answer here is more doubtful than if you contacted the company directly.

    That's all I will say! :s

I have had some problems too .. Best thing to deal with direct rather than venting on the forum and turning it into slagging match, i am getting fed up with all this bitching and moaning its the same on the facebook page ..

    Try these emails

    lynw@dbfactory.co.uk Customer Service Supervisor
Or ingridh@dbfactory.co.uk Ingrid Henstone Head of Customer Experience

    Thanks for the email info.
It was not my intention to stir up a hornets nest about moaning etc, its just a little frustrating, when the only information you are receiving about this build is on here.
I shall carry on in the background reading your posts untill it goes one way or the other.

Glad to hear, same here, got a response almost straight away.

I do agree with Michael Corben & Brogusblue though, this forum is not the place to have a swipe at GE, but some times when all else fails, you get desperate.
Most of you seem to be lucky & have no problems, so does that mean everyone else has to keep quiet about their problems with packaging, missing issues, broken parts, incorrect payments taken out etc...
Isn’t this is what this forum is all about, discussing the whole thing as one package?
So please, let’s not slag of the guys who are having problems, lets help if we can, like brogusblue did, & offer alternatives.
    Thats my 10 pence worth.

Also, they always say you're more likely to let others know when something is bad then when something is perfect, which might be the reason why a lot of the posts in this topic are complaints. There could be quite a few people here who just don't post about their experience because everything was fine.

I haven't had any real problem so far. Only thing I never got issue 3 from the test run, but I think that'll be sorted out soon. Other than that everything has been just fine and everything arrived in good condition.
