I've orderd the GG, jaws teeth and the tarot cards, but they all have different shipping datas resp.: october, september and november. I hope we only need to pay once for shipping!
We are very sorry that the products have been slightly delayed. Its absolutely the last thing we wanted to happen.
The products have been pushed back because the factory could not hit the shipment dates they promised. Nothing sinister or worrisome in that. The truth is they just took longer to finish and complete than they originally estimated. Its a common problem and we always add 2 or 3 weeks to any dates a factory gives us... but in this case that was still not enough.
just to make it clear there are no issues or problems with any of the products themselves. Its the time is takes to package and complete them for shipment that takes much longer than they original calculated.
Sadly we are totally reliant on dates we get from factories, if they promise a shipping date and then a few days before that date contact us to say '... we need a little more time' its slightly frustrating to say the least. And that's what has happened here.
Now, we did not go as far as hiring a real world Scaramanga to be 'gently persuasive' so to speak, but we voiced our displeasure pretty clearly! As a result we have received pretty firm assurances the new deadlines will be met and the dates promised are accurate and realistic. So we have revised our availability dates accordingly.
The products are all being made in the same factory but we have told them to make the Golden Gun priority number one. This has a knock on effect on the other products which will now all be arriving at different times instead of together as originally planned.
The Golden Gun will ship to consumers in October. The Jaws Teeth and Tarot Cards will ship in late October Early November.
As soon as any item arrives in our warehouse it will ship out. We will not hold or delay whilst we wait for other products if you have ordered multiple items, (unless you specifically request us to). You will only be charged for one shipping charge, even if the products end up shipping separately.
Delays are annoying, and again we apologize. But we would far rather the factory added a small delay and took the time to do something properly and to our standards than rush something to get it ready.
We cannot wait to start sending the Bond replicas out!
Nobody will be billed for shipping twice if they placed a single order, and nobody will be billed more than quoted at the time of the order. If we have to ship products separately because of delays at our end that's entirely our fault and we will cover any additional shipping costs.
Nobody will be charged any balances until we have contacted them to advise that shipping of their order is imminent and they confirm that everything is still ok and correct with their order. (no address changes etc) This will happen approximately 14 days prior to product shipping
Once confirmed the next contact will be an email detailing that the item has shipped with a tracking number to follow.
Factory Q-Branch… don’t worry about the delay… we are just very eager to have them – feel them – try to put the gun apart and together again…just have it look at it – smile and remember the movie…. You know Søren Kirkegaard ones told a story…that he had planed a date with a girl for weeks… and one the day of the date he cancelled and said “the date can never live up to the expectation she has”… hope you don’t do that
Hey Factory Q-Branch, I have a question regarding the Dual Signature Edition of the Golden Gun. I know on Master Replicas Signature Edition Lightsabers, the sabers themselves said, "Signature Edition" in cursive on the bottom with MR and LFL stamps, so theoretically if one were to damage his SE (but not the plaque), he could NOT replace it with an LE saber, but I also know that on other Master Replicas, like the LE, SE, and DSE Vader Helmet did not say "Signature Edition" on the actual prop, so you COULD replace a DSE Helmet with an SE or LE, so my question is: Will there be any type of marking on the DSE Golden Gun, indicating that it belongs to a DSE plaque, or will all the guns, themselves, be the exact same, with only the plaques and COA being different?
Also, to add to my last question, will the edition number be, at all, on the Gun itself? The Master Replicas Luke ROTJ Elite Edition had the actual edition number on its pommel, but I believe it was the only one like that, so that situation makes me wonder about these too.
None of the guns are marked in any way. It was partly to keep them accurate to the original props, which had no markings, and we know from the MR days it drove people crazy when prominent copy was printed on replicas. But actually was for a totally practical reason. We would have to have marked every single piece, because the gun can be taken apart. Markings could have been hidden effectively on larger elements like the case, but would have totally overpowered smaller elements like the cuff link and pen. So we felt no marking was best.
Likewise the edition number is not printed on the guns either, for the same reasons. But also because of the production process. The replicas are made using a linear production line process, where each replica is effectively identical until its packed into it's box. Its at this point the item earns it's particular edition number based on the specific plaque that's packed in with it. The plaques are randomly inserted on multiple production lines in a totally random order and we deliberately do not indicate the edition number anywhere on the outer packaging. Why? Well, we want it to be a totally lottery to make it 100% fair. It should only the final owner who finds out what edition they have. The learning at MR was that when edition size was known from the outside of the box an element of hoarding would take place for desirable numbers, and in some cases certain numbers magically vanished before they even hit the market :-(
Hope that makes sense and glad to get feedback on it.
Way to respond with perfect clarification! I appreciate that. So bottom line, there are 1,400 identical Golden Guns (not including artist proofs, prototypes, etc) and it is only the plaques that causes that number to split into 1,000 and 400, but aside from that the replicas, themselves, are all the same. Thanks again FQ-B, I think I speak for everybody when I say I really appreciate the work you all have done to replicate one of the most iconic weapons in movie, as well as video game, history!
..... The plaques are randomly inserted on multiple production lines in a totally random order and we deliberately do not indicate the edition number anywhere on the outer packaging. Why? I would have to diasagree with this one FQB. A lower number is always more desirable for serious collectors.
The number does not have to be shown on the box. But I think the SE plaques starting from number 1, should be given out to purchasers in the same chronological order as you received the orders when the sale opened.
Maybe a bit more 'laborious' from a packing point of view, in that you have to tally the plaque number vis-a-vis chronological order received, but definitely the fairest way to go about it I think.
Shouldn't be difficult to see the chronology of orders received, as I presume you were also copied in some waywith the confirmation emails as they came in.
I do not think it is 'fair' that once you ship, someone who ordered a SE say, last week of September, could end up with number 1, while others who have been following this production from day 1 and had their fingers on the purchase button from half an hour before the sale was open, ends up say, with number 368.
Just my POV. ( .... besides admitting that I was one of those with his finger on the button on 18th June ) , & received the confirmation email 30 seconds after the sale opened)
I can see both sides of this and was really hoping to secure a low, possibly 00?, number. But I can see Barry's point of view that it would be impossible to police and is 100% fair this way. I think FE have addressed most of our issues very fairly. Although I would hope #007 goes to a good home, what's the betting it ends up with a non hardcore collector who will have it on Ebay very soon to make a quick buck.
I disagree GM. It is not difficult to police. FQB can be trusted to place the plaques as I described. When they received their copy of a confirmation, it would obviously also show the time received, and it would be stored automatically in chronological order. All that would have to be done is to print the purchasers list in that chronological order & write 1,2,3,4 etc next to the name. Then match those to the labels for shipping & voila. Yes, admittadly a little more laborious as I said, but 'fairer' for serious collectors.
Well also given the randomness of e-commerce, it would still be a lottery if 200 customers hit the website at the same time, which is wexactly what happened I believe. I was confirmed within the first minute as well but could still have ended up with #200. Anyway I guess if it's a hardcore collector that gets a 00 we'll know about it soon enough and if not then Ebay will tell us

Well it would be horrible for Australia people to pay 60 USD shipping... twice.
