Whats that the mods or is it as you got like 3 SD guns your not bothering with the FE golden gun!
I take it though the sd guns barrels are drilled right through perhaps even rifled!
Weird - I just had a thin plastic tube, a straw-like tube, leave the cigarette lighter component. I suspect it was meant to hold the golden bullet in situ better so it doesn't rattle--anyone?
The tube went missing during the Collectors' Show and I can replace it if I can get the function right - looking for a tech answer and not a flame of FE. B-)

finally paid off my SE! Since I hit financial issues between the time of the first announced ship date, to the time when it was really shipped, they allowed me to make payments. I just made the last one, and am looking forward to receiving mine.
WOOHOO Just picked up my LE GG from the depot in Edinburgh. I'm so excited. Even the duty wasn't as bad as I had in my head, came to £91 I was expecting closer to £200 for some reason. Enough waiting around... I'm off to open it up -{
Got it all opened up and put together. What a fantastic replica! It looks even better than I had imagined and the weight is perfect if you ask me, I don't know why anybody would want it any heavier to be honest.
I think Factory Entertainment have done a great job with this and I hope they have taken a lot of the constructive criticism so that phase 2 of their props runs a whole lot smoother.
I will echo everyone else's complaints about the packaging though. The box for the GG was seriously bashed on all 4 corners and along the edges. I hope that next time FE will use a better protected method of packaging.
Just picked up my GG from German customs office. Wow, what a huge carton box!
Edges of silver sleeve and box are slightly dented - But hell, I don't care, as I will not display the carton but the gun only!
Some tips for those who want to order a GG from overseas:
- custom officers (at least the Germans) don't give a sh*t about the value declared by the shipper.
They only take a commercial invoice and a proof of payment (e.g. bank slip, T/T copy) as reference. I have made a deposit when ordering the gun. If this deposit does not appear on the final invoice, it will not be subject to any duty or tax - So if you have made a high deposit and the seller does not note it on the final invoice, you will save some bucks.
- If you are from NRW, Germany:
Have it sent to the customs office in Duesseldorf - the guys from Duesseldorf-Rath customs office are quite relaxed.
We even chat about the GG and the James Bond filmes
BTW, I have paid € 66, which is about USD 90 or GBP 56 - for duty and taxes - which is about 20%.
I received my LE yesterday but I am very dissapointed, I ordered direct from FE and I did not receive the extra free bullets.
The perspex lid has a crack (although the box is not damaged?) and a long scratch, also there seems to be a very noticable blemish on the cigarette case. I Emailed Tom yesterday but I have not had any response as yet
After the long delay, I cancelled my golden gun order. In an email I was told I would get my refund by mail. Almost two months later I still haven't got the check. To make matters worse FE deducted additional money from my credit card for the Tarot cards just shipped out. I emailed yesterday but no response yet. Anyone else having these issues?
I drilled mine out carefully, NOT a fun project but looks fantastic and no scratches to the gold plating !
Can you confirm if the red plastic cap is glued in to the barrel or just pushed in.
FYI: the red cap is not glued to the barrel but sits quite loose. It is still not easy to remove the plug, as you would have to remove the end ring with the clip to remove the plug.

Now that's a nasty looking bruise on the case Are you sure you didn't squeeze the ciggy case too hard when ya pulled the trigger (Admittedly that was a bad joke) -{ Hope you get things solved with the company.
EDIT: I had also few issues with the GG, but i'll hope replacement parts arrive soon.

So I got my SE edition today....anyone else have an issue with the plate looking like it has marks on it? I will shoot some photos, but there is just something that doesn't look right....
But for now I was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue. I still have to go the gun with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything else is cool, but this plaque is obvious.
How to remove the Red Barrel plug with out damage.
Ok like some people on here i was not too happy with the barrel plug, but i am aware its a legal requirement in the UK.
ok foolproof (almost) way to remove the hard nylon plug is start of with a small (3mm) HSS drill to get the centre it will go in about 1/4" then stop dont drill any further, you will find the red plug may move by then and will prevent you from drilling larger sizes.
then get a small butaine soldering torch and heat THE DRILL bit tips, not the barrel, and progress by using hand power to extract the rest of the plug
be very carefull the barrel does not get too hot while doing this.
you should be left with a perfect hole, which i am going to airbrush with ALCAD 2 black paint for a realistic finish but will mask all the gold first
only drill bits were used,NO electric drill guns, just Drill bits and hands are the only thing required (and a steady hand)
if you look at the film where Lee shoots the guy in Hong Kong you will see the barrel of the prop is also blocked, but further in than the red plug is.with the plug removed it now looks the same.

Do you have an email address that works for them? I emailed them at the help_us@factoryent.com and it bounced back....
Yeah...3 emails over the last 3 days and not a response at all...not cool.
Guess I will give them a few more days and then contact my credit card company and see if they can help. What irritates me is that I didn't spend $65....this was a lot of money and I would expect some form of customer service.

Hello everyone. I live in Northern Ireland, as you can imagine the laws here on guns are stricter than most. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how much i will be charged at customs when my golden gun arrives, and am i going to be hauled away in a police car and accused of running golden guns for the IRA.
-Remarkable! But what does the club secretary have to say?
- Oh nothing Mr.Bond! I own the club.

I am new here so hello from me to all
Donald
Looks blocked to me,but it could be the small charge that makes the gun muzzel flash,a few second later
Best to look at 00.33mins into the film
Best not to argue with the SD KING on matters concerning the Golden Gun...you'll lose!...lol
