Anyone play Golf?

I'm going to be taking a class in college this coming fall, can anyone give me some beginners advice?

1) Buy the best clubs you can afford, but don't skimp on the putter - it will make or break your game.
2) Buy the very best balls - they'll see you thirty yards further than cheap ones
3) Driving range balls are rubbish, so you won't get an accurate representation of distance and accuracy.
4) Don't bet on bars of gold until you get your handicap right down...
