With no news of the next Bond film, here's a story to lift the heart and make one glad to be alive.

Femme fetales, Manhatten, expulsions... 007 in New York indeed. {[]

    Yeah man,
    Money buried in the park?
I *just* read the chapter in GF where Bond watches Goldfinger leave a gold brick at a dead drop. Weird.

One of the 'spys' that was caught in Cyprus is 'missing'

"Police said he was released on bail pending further proceedings but was told not to leave the country and was ordered to check in nightly with police"

Oh brother that's rich. "Now you don't go anywhere OK?" "OK!" (sound of door slamming, feet running away, car starting up and zooming away...)

    And there's this:

    Holy Moly!

Anyone else enjoying this as much as I am?

Did anyone really think nations would stop spying just because the cold war ended? :))

Well, no. But good old fashioned spying by nations is a hell of a lot more welcome than countless terrorist cells intent on blowing themselves up in the name of even they don't know what.

There was an article about this in the paper yesterday, and what I found amusing was the number of intelligence officers basically shaking their heads and asking, "Why would the Russians waste so much time, money, and effort on all this, when they could find out everything they want to know by surfing the Net?" That said, that red-headed woman in New York who's been getting a lot of attention for her role in this farce brings some much-needed sexual intrigue to the proceedings!
