    Are these accurate?
  • saint-antoinesaint-antoine CanadaPosts: 209MI6 Agent
They must be accurate since they are made by the company who produced them initially. Just got my DAD blue circles tie...

Thanks for the heads up B540 WUU

No shipping to the US???? How can a major UK vendor not be able to ship to the US?

This is their FAQ response: "For contractual reasons Turnbull & Asser Limited is unable to offer product directly to persons living in the USA. At some point in the future we hope this situation will be remedied. In the meantime we can but offer our sincerest apologies to our valued US customers (who live in the US)."

I might be because they have store in the USA. Perhaps you can get the ties from one of the US stores...

Can anyone confirm that there are only 3 Bond ties offered at this time on the website ? (I only identified 3)...
  • DBSDBS Los Angeles, CAPosts: 1,015MI6 Agent
I spoke with T&A - only those 3 are available now. Apparently, there was enough renewed interest to make a limited number of these ties.

    Great find, B549 WUU!

Has anyone called a U.S. store and see if we can purchase through them?

    You're most welcome my friend!

I have admired the TND tie for a long time and am thrilled to finally own one. Not very keen on the other two myself but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think this person will have to lower their prices!

Yes, I spoke with the store in Beverly Hills. I picked up a TWiNE and TND tie today. They currently have (1) DAD tie, (2) TWiNE ties, and (2) TND ties in stock and will sell them over the phone. Their number is 310-550-7600. Ask for Joel (pronounced Jo-elle) and let him know that Craig referred you. We chatted for a bit - he respects the Bond community, and he'll definitely treat you well.

Those prices aren't that far off the mark. For those of us in the States, these ties cost $170/each + tax. That's what I just paid for each of mine. The higher cost is due to the import duties and fees, etc. They are obviously much cheaper to get out of the UK, but that's not an option for those of us on this side of the pond.

    Kind regards,
    Craig

I visited the T & A store on Jermyn Street this afternoon, and they had sold out of the TND tie. They had 2 left of the TWINE tie, and had several of the DAD ties in stock. It appears that all three ties can still be ordered on the website, however the sales assistant in the store claimed that the whilst the web site sold T & A goods, it was not directly affiliated with the store, and that they were unable to request stock set aside to be sold online be transferred to Jermyn Street to replensish sold out stock. The sales assistant confirmed that all three ties are limited editions.

On a similar note, it appears that the black knitted tie worn in Dr No is still available. Apparently T & A have never stopped making it. I'm planning to revisit the store soon and will pick myself one up if there not too expensive.

Yes well...he/she is now banned !

Sorry for the recent spurt of spam across these boards....whatever devices we put in place to try and stop/deter people from spaming can only deter them for so long it seems...

...thanks to all who bring this to our attention...and please be assured we are trying our best to stop this...or at least keep it to a minimum :D
