Spam?

I only recently discovered ajb and I'm impressed by the information you can find on here, great site!

One thing though seems a bit annoying, there's an awful lot of promotion/advert spam going on here, shoes, ties, apparell and stuff. I mean ok, fans do have the money and spend it generously but could there be at the very least some kind of connection to Bond? Apart from Bond being a human and needing clothes, shoes and the works?

I've been a member of this site for a while now and only recently we have had problems with spamming. We can only hope that they get the message soon.

I know it isn't easy to keep a site like ajb shipshape and some of these things may actually be debatable, having at least a little Bond angle. But the avalanche of this morning was really a bit over the top. I mean I can get ads for DVDs, cloths and what not at any place, no need to stuff ajb with it.

I know what you mean, but sometimes it's difficult to stop people from spamming....once a MOD is on the boards, then the spam gets 'cleaned up' - deleted - and the spammer is banned....alas...it seems to be AJB's turn to have these undesirables at present....we'll continue to do our best to clean the place up....
