I just heard on the radio that Tom Mankiewicz passed away at age 68. Apparently from cancer.
He will be missed.

He was the man behind screenplays of DAF, LALD and TMWGG, wasn't he?

He's responsible for some of the wittiest lines in the series. I just love DAF, LALD although his third Hamilton film wasn't much cop, he admitted he's begun to run out of steam.
Roger Moore 1927-2017
I heard he helped write TSWLM and MR but didn't want to be credited. He's even in the background of one of the Michael G. Wilson's interviews about the story for those films.

Better that then original idea of Gert Frobe returning as Auric Goldfinger's twin bother. Ugh.

None too ironic really to enjoy the dialogue and dislike the story. You know what is ironic ? Tom Makiewicz was recruited to make Mario Puzo's Superman script less campy.
Yes...that is ironic -{
