George lazenby in a thunderball remake

I would have liked to have seen george lazenby return to the role of bond in the late 80s in a kevin mcclory second remake of thunderball

    I think you're alone in this, Denzil! Of course, McClory could only get another Bond film made with a big star name like Connery. Lazenby, rightly or wrongly, was on the general public's 'Worst Bond actor' list around this time and was never a big star name. Anyway, in the late 80s Lazenby would have been too old, and it would have been too soon after NSNA for McClory to pull off.

    Agreed, the early 80's was the last time he could have played James Bond IMO.
    How he looked in the UNCLE film would have been perfect for what could have been his 8th and final film.

    McClory would never have got a 2nd film made, I do understand his point of view in some ways, but Warhead 2000 was just a pipe dream really.
