I heard about this on the radio this morning. Tony Curtis was a favorite actor of mine with an amazing body of work who appeared in so many movies that I continue to enjoy to this day. I absolutely loved his comedic work in movies like The Great Race and Goodbye Charlie. He'll be missed.

Lately I had been seeing Tony's best work. The Defiant Ones was probably his greatest film.

The Great Race is my favourite Tony Curtis film, hands down...but I always enjoyed his work What a bummer. Rest in peace.

I'm reminded of a hilariously obscene anecdote related by Roger Moore during some event a couple of years ago...his 'Persuaders' co-star Tony Curtis was in the crowd, I believe...Sir Roger was telling a story that pre-dated 'The Persuaders' by more than twenty years, going back to Moore's very brief period as a contract player in Hollywood's old studio system. The punch line went something like this:

"...And Tony told me, 'You're going to love it in Hollywood! I just f****d Yvonne DeCarlo!'" )

Boys will be boys...I shall miss The Great Leslie terribly.
