Just a silly question ,Watching QOS again (still trying to like it) In the Harbour scene Greene is Stamping a long piece of paper, I'm guessing he's forging a Geologicial read out Or something along these lines. But does anyone know what he's doing.

I've looked at this TP, and it really is daft, but Greene is actually just stamping the ticket tape like a bored child. He stamps one way and then the other, one way and then the other... He really was a villainous genius that Dominic Greene.
It would have been better if they had simply had him shooting fish in the harbour for entertainment while he waited for his meeting with General Whoeverthehellhewaswotsit (I can't even remember the villain's name - that's how good the film is...). And then when Camille comes in, we are treated to Inspecter Clussaeu "do you think I'm stupiddddd!" Well, yes actually and thoroughly uninteresting... :#

Never have I cared less about the villians in a Bond film than in QOS. Greene is just a little toad, Elvis is...nothing, and General Medrano is a guy with a mustache.

Well...once again I enjoyed this film more than so many of us, :)) despite its much-ballyhooed flaws. I liked that Greene was "hands-on" in his leadership-style...not the best or most effective way to do business, but IMO a manifestation of his character. He trusted very few people, and so let himself get caught up in the minutiae. One fan's lowly opinion.

Agreed. Noneentities one and all. I keep forgetting the Generals name !! He seemed to come from some form of central casting 'dial-a baddie'. Truly laughable. Now Elvis had a great look, it would have been great to see him do something, come to think of it ANYTHING. Once again one can only wonder what might have been left on the cutting room floor...

I enjoyed much of QOS - but there are niggling little bits throughout which, for me at least, are like in no other Bond film. The basis of the plot (water/utilities) was dull, the villian was a wuss, Bond's sex life was drier than one of those martinis, M was a moaning old biddy and much of the action was difficult to watch (only on a Sony Bravia HD tv with blueray could I see what happened in the boat chase - and on a friend's decent quality tv with dvd, it was largely unseeable). That said, I liked a lot more than I disliked...

A lot of good points guys, But I honestly didn't want to start another debate of the faults or other wise of QOS. I just was intrested in what Greene was doing,As thesecretagent pointed out he seems to be just stamping a piece of paper to pass the time,I was wondering if anyone had another idea ? as I thought I might of missed something and he was faking some report or other.(bit of character background stuff showing how he was a cheat in all aspects of his life ).

That explains why I didn't mind the shaky cam bits, as I've only been watching it on blu-ray. You learn something new every day. :)
