I have been searching everywhere for these ties. Are they Turnbull and Asser? Are these ties available anywhere?

Hey DanielCraig007,

Here's what I've found out over time:

- Bilbao tie is from T&A - 100% confirmed
- Pipeline tie is not T&A although it is unclear who made it... perhaps Brioni...
- Beluga factory tie is probably T&A but this remains to be confirmed...

Does anybody have (or know of anybody) who has the Beluga factory tie? Believe the tie at the Hong Kong Hotel reception desk is also T&A, anybody have this also??

My understanding is there are three T&A ties that would have to be ordered as bespoke

Not sure how to add photos using my iPad, welshboy78 can you help with pictures and we can see who's interested!

Thank you for your email.
If you have a tie that you would like to be made we can copy, the process will entail making a blanket with colours of the tie pattern, once you have chosen the model you like we would need to make a minimum of four ties each costing £110.00.
This process takes approximately four to five months. We take 50% deposit at the time of ordering.

Did you mention to James that these are the Bond ties? He's familiar with most of them. He had confirmed for me a while back that the colours of the Bilbao tie were blue and brown, not black.

I had the same email from James and he indeed asked me if I was a Bond fan (I never mentioned it)

James Cook is a good man who knows his clothes. I actually interviewed him about both Turnbull & Asser and the Bond films, so I'll try to get that up on my blog soon.

Bilbao is T&A
Pipeline is Herbie Frogg
Beluga is T&A

HF were based near T&A on Jermyn St but closed a few years ago due to major redevelopment of their building.

Don't know if it makes any difference but T&A no longer have a concession with Harrods. They moved out about three months ago.

There is also a discussion on the ties of TWINE going on in another thread ('Bilbao outfit in Christie's auction').

I own all six of the ties supplied by T&A for TWINE in 1999. I think, by the Hong Kong hotel reception tie, you're refering to DAD, not TWINE. I also own that tie.

I'll take some photos over Christmas and post them since none of these ties are with me in Dubai at present.

In the process of making this order, can you acquire and publish the 'specs' of the tie for future purchasers? In case I or anyone else need to purchase it from T&A in the future, it'd be great not to have to refer to it as 'that tie from the beginning of the third Brosnan Bond movie', lol! I've also found when you can give exact bespoke details you get less hostility from the folks within T&A who aren't into Bond-om (although it's nice that James Cook is game!).

Yes this is something I also thought about and should be no problem etc however it will still require minimum of 4 to produce the material and make it worth there while.

Ross and I are in touch with T&A at the moment (actually awaiting a reply) and hopefully will setup a new thread for the ties where people can put name down etc The plan is to start with the Bilbao tie and work through ties which we have good photos of (people like Bring Back Lazenby will help immensely if he can photograph his tie etc).

Hopefully T&A make this a success as I believe projects like this have failed in the past (fingers crossed this is not the case)
