They are in fact blue and white Swarovski Crystals, a very nice item, although not SA it is the closest your going to get and it is a very nice display piece

I said nice one – but not screen accurate – if the rumour about FE making a version it would be interesting to se… I know several DOC members who simply loves this prop..they what it simply so the could do this scene where Bond shows it to M..

Yes it is. Exact replica of the Imperial Rose Bud Egg.
This is the best replica and is very accurate - also made by Faberge.

Here is my other favorite - Imperial Coronation Egg

The Octopussy Egg is based on this one - also features in Ocean 12

BTW, this is an actual Faberge piece and not the cheap inferior imitations you find all the time on Ebay.

Real as in a real Faberge piece - crafted by Faberge to match the original - which is now back in Russia, used to be part of the Forbes collection in the USA.
This is not the real Imperial Faberge Egg of course - that will be worth millions, if they are up for sale.

Yes, that's what i thought...i think the most valuable Fabergé egg is so called "Winter Egg"
or something...worth over 20 Million euros

EDIT: not 20, but nearly 10 million, it was sold in 2002 to anonymous buyer - perhaps it was Kan who bought it :v

actually the imperial winter egg sold for $5.6 million.
the most expensive egg I think is one of Rothchild egg sold for $18 million - not even an imperial egg

I wish I have that kind of money, if I do I would definitely buy it - it will be a dream to own an Imperial Egg - of course, I would put it in a museum because that where it belongs for all to enjoy.

BTW, I was just reading the current issue of Bloomberg Business Week, the Chinese are now buying a lot of later works of Picasso - paying many folds the previous prices - we are talking 12- 24 millions on what used to be 1-4 millions - amazing....

After seeing the paintings, I rather get the eggs.

How many eggs Carl Fabergé actually made? around 60 pcs ?

yes 50+, not all of them had been ID, there are a few unknown and missing.
These eggs often have surprises inside - many are sadly lost.
I also own several books on Faberge and none of them have a complete record.
After a century, we still do not have a complete picture or records of the eggs.

perhaps after few years he also likes to hunt them

And all this started from Flemings love of plain scrambled eggs from French Marans chickens. We have come a long way.

Since there is some interest in these eggs, I like to share another picture - a group picture of the eggs.
You can see that the coronation eggs are quite a lot bigger than the rose bud eggs and are very impressive.
Also shown is the more rare blue coronation egg number 25 of 200. -{

I am a goldsmith and some of my Easter eggs were used in Octopussy, the Bond film compay Eon Productions borrowed some of my gold eggs that were commissions for Asprey, the company I worked for also made the four prop eggs used in the film, I made some of the parts.
