Michel Legrand's score for Never Say Never Say Again is basically the equivalent of something out of a cheap TV movie of the week. Really, it's pretty shocking how bad the score is given Legrand's past work. Anyone who has ever heard his stuff for Lemans and The Cincinnati Kid would realize why Legrand would have made the ideal composer for a Bond film and yet Michel turned in this rubbish for NSNA.
Can I offer an opinion...? Forget NSNA. It is a **** terrible movie. Just as bad as Moonraker and Casino Royale (1967) It is nothing more than a comedy. And the production value is low too.

Well we are really just talking about how much the music sucks. ) Also, I'd put MR ahead in my book. Was it bad ? Yeah but you have a decent villian getting some great lines, great production value, and of course, a terrific score.

The Cincinatti Kid was Lalo Schifrin's score.
Oh, my mistake.
