Is the red as bright in real life as it is in the photos here? Even in the well-lit promotional stills the tie looks considerably darker.
Depends on our monitors, really. I'd upped the brightness in the second photo to bring out the details, and Google Photos enhanced the other two. Here it is next to the Magnoli tie under an LED light. The desk they're lying on is perfectly white, so maybe you can adjust to compensate.
Honestly, I hear this for the first time - I suspect it's a good company anyway? (sorry, to lazy to check it out on Google right now...)
Brilliant spot btw., makes me hope I will find the PTS cardigan one day finally!
Brooks Brothers is a middle-to-high-end brand in a America. It's the kind of brand that middle management wears. It used to be a very traditional American brand but now they've updated their clothes. However, this tie is from a lower line made especially for outlet stores. I've gotten a number of ties there for 15 USD a piece. It probably came from the Bicester Village outlet store.

I'm currently sitting in an airport and when I read matt's comment "It's the kind of brand that middle management wears"...I actually laughed out loud
Never heard someone describe a clothing brand like that before...love it

That's what it has come to. People used to wear Brooks Brothers for the classic American style, but they don't provide that anymore. They make solid suits, and they still get by on their heritage, but now they sell very little of what made them special. US government agents are also known for wearing Brooks Brothers, like Felix Leiter in Goldfinger.
Ian Fleming described Mr Du Pont in Goldfinger as “clean-shaven and dressed in the conventional disguise with which Brooks Brothers cover the shame of American millionaires.”
I remember seeing a Brioni tie for sale readily available on the net a year or two ago (unfortunately can't find a pic) that was the same pattern and apparent colours as the train tie, but the pattern was half the size.
Thanks. It's more complex than a blue and white checkerboard, but it's definitely not the same pattern as the train tie, which is a grid rather than a checkerboard. I would sooner believe that the actual tie is still a Brioni, and just that this Brooks Brothers Outlet tie is just very similar. It's even possible that Brooks Brothers could have gotten some leftover silk from Brioni to make some of these ties for some outlet stores. I have a hard time picturing Lindy Hemming going to Bicester Village to find clothes for James Bond.
Not saying at all that this is the tie, but it’s funny the things you find when you keep your eyes open! I picked up this Armani tie today at a Saks Off 5th outlet store in Costa Mesa, CA.

Well, it is in the way a tartan is a rather generic weave pattern. Depends on how closely you want it to match.
EDIT: It took me eight years to find this tie. It's not that easy.
Agree, I thought both the train and limo / dbs ties were the same design by Brioni, just different colours ???
1. CR. 2. TSWLM. 3. LTK. 4. GF. 5. SF.
No, the patterns were different. The limo/DBS tie is a simpler blue and white checkerboard pattern.
