I don't quite like it, and I really like Blondie. This sounds so lifeless. I'm really glad that they didn't use it. Sheena Easton's song is one of my favorite Bond themes. Love it to death.

Yeah, I agree. In a way, La Harry doesn't have a Bond-style voice either, it's a bit thin though fine for most of her songs.

Dalton is king of the hil

It is less melodic than Sheena Eastons version. Its the same thing with Alice Coopers song for The man with the golden gun. . For Your Eyes Only is the most beautiful Bond song so far. Great arrangement. The sound and the melody make it awesome. The sound of sub that you can hear when it all turns quiet makes sure the audience knows that this an adventure thriller and not a silly love story. Really sets the tone for a more serious Bond.
The music for the movie is generally quite good and melodig. Sometimes too cheasy. Definitely the one Bond score which sounds most like a score from the eighties whereas the other Bond scores from the eighties were quite timeless.
