I'm still pondering if I should get it.

I'd appreciate a small review from you.

The ones on the net aren't from a 007 enthusiast point of view.

I have it coming for the PS3 (22 quid off ebay)

    Im a bit concerned what difficulty setting to start it on, the reviews say it is easy on default and Im a kinda guy who cant replay a game (though Bond might be different) -{

Hardest difficulty- you can unlock an even harder one.

I was unsure to get it- see my first post- a PM from guss convinced me to just jump over my shadow and finally order it but I played it for an hour "in the office".

    Hardest difficulty felt like Bond.

    Go for that.

    Blood Stone.

You have a new story, an own title song and title sequence (!), and when you grow tired of catching all the PS3 trophies, take a break and find a Quantum of Solace ;)

Just finished Blood Stone on the hardest difficulty and now unlocked 007 difficulty :)

I received QoS this week also, as that arrived in the mail first I played it and well erm... its a mess of a game really, storyline jumping all over the place and some real crap graphics and gameplay. I perserved with it till the end but doubt I would ever revisit!

Anyhow I had little hope for Blood Stone but was very impressed, graphics great, story line great etc A well developed Bond game!!! Nice the driving levels mixed things up a bit.

Bit disappointed that it had very poor sales, heard Activision already broken up the developers of Blood Stone so I guess we wont get a sequel to the story which was left on a cliffhanger. Imagine if they did another one it would have been more polished and improved upon so great shame!

Wifes out tonite so might give it a go on 007 mode!!!

Playing Bloodstone on the 007 difficulty and am getting hammered at the very end of the Burma chapter...it seems to be pure luck surviving the last leap to the dam controls without getting cut in two by Rak's chopper machine gun. Even if I do make it across, I haven't been able to get out from behind the control after I throw the switch.

Gonna try again tonight...if anyone has any pointers, I'm listening!

Are you ducking at the controls? Also the last control has guards nearby who shoot hence it could be them

Just completed the game, better than QOS, great Bond experience. My only complaints were, game too short and whats with 007s/Daniel Craig's hair ?, looks like a bad dye job !. Great theme song by Joss Stone, would love her to do Bond 23.

I have completed both games. The controls were much better in Bloodstone but there were more weapons in QoS.

I was curious does anyone still play multiplayer on Bloodstone PC version? Ive beat single player several times. Wanted to try multiplayer, never played it on that game.

Okay, good to know. They both had mixed reviews, but I went ahead and got QoS because Casino Royale is my favorite movie and reviews said fans will get a much better time out of it than average players. QoS had its flaws, but it was a great time to at least get some time in those locations from the movie with some good guns and Craig starring. I guess I will go for Blood Stone and assume the reviews are for the average player, not for the eager Bond fans. Keep expectations somewhat low of course, but still I hope to have some fun.

    Thanks!

The graphics are waaaaaaayyy superior on Bloodstone, also the play is more complete and thought out. QoS feels very very rushed (like all movie tie ins)

I would say Bloodstone is twice the game and you will LOVE IT!

I had a couple of questions about bloodstone PC multiplayer. How many here on the forum still play it? is there a way to chat with other players. it dissapointing that it did not include any type of chat feature.

Just played this. Love some of the car chases. Like the game all the way through Siberia. Bond in messy Asian poverty towns and jungles does not appeal to me. Reminded me of the game Stranglehold and Just Cause 2. Love the Epilogues. I almost want to play it through again, but omit the Bangkok and Burma missions. Also made me think of Nicholas Cage in Bangkok dangerous. Overall it felt like the game was a bit off about Bond style and behavior in some scenes. A lot of it feels like it was creatively ripped off the fundamental ideas of Casino Royale and QoS put together.

The Monaco Casino level is one of my favorite levels I've ever played just because of the scenery and atmosphere.

    SPOILERS:

The whole thing where Bond stops a middle man who is getting in hot water, then goes off and finds out that his Bond girl was a double agent again and she did it over a man, but there is no use in living with the information so she prepares to die because the organization behind the whole plot is "everywhere" was a bit too familiar to CR for me to be as wowed as I should have been.

Good, just some things struck me as off.

Well I have finally got to play Bloodstone after receiving a copy for Chrimble off Santa. :D A bit late to the party I know -but as we didn't own an Xbox 360 until this Christmas you now know why. So far I love it and although I've not had much playing time yet -I have to say its excellent IMO so far. I enjoy Goldeneye which I have on the wii (not the reloaded version yet.) But this feels better and the graphics are suitably impressive. Being new to the xbox I'm still getting to grips with the controller. Anyhow I am pleased to finally have this. Quite like the Joss Stone song too. :)

well ching ching hope everyone is having a shuper christshmash i've found a bond web forum that has gaming on it.

I'm a big gamer and write reviews for a couple of forums for them. i also am a bond gaming nut. Had many a fun night on Quantom of solace with my mates with the only rule being you have to talk in your best sean connery accent.

anywho - bloodstone- cracking good game mish moneypenny :)
the cut scenes are a bit pants and dated but the gameplay is top notch. i actually turned the smartphone off to make the game more tactical. the smartphone giving the enemies position away made it easy imo. I feel the game captures the essenece of Bond though which is a great thing.

qos - i've plattinumed the game ( ie got all the trophies for it )
SP is not quite as polished as some but still great fun to play and again made me feel like bond playing it.

I've got Goldeneye but not got round to playing it much yet.

will post up my bloodstone review here at some point.
