Now this is gonna sound bad, but really I wish the black women in the Bond films were more to my taste. Not a Diana Ross among them. They all look like they wouldn't be out of place in Zulu. Be it Bambi (or is it Thumper), Rosie Carver, oh is Emily Bolton in MR black - she was alright, the black woman chomping bananas in OHMSS, May Day - she's is different, she's okay because she's a real character, but then Jinx, again, short hair. Can't they vary it up a bit? Not a Beyonce over 50 years...
The Black woman in OHMSS was indeed a low point, not because she was unattractive, but because of the thinly-veiled racism of showing her rolling her eyes and munching on a banana. But Gloria Hendry (Rosie Carver) and Halle Berry (Jinx) couldn't be more different in appearance, besides the fact that they both sported short hairdos, yet I find both to be very beautiful. So just what is your taste in Black women - those with long, fake hair, a la Diana Ross? Not being critical, just asking.

Yeah, Rosie and Jinx don't look too alike. Yeah, I know this sounds racist but I'm not sure it is. I mean, imagine if ALL the white women in the films had short hair, like the one in LTK. I'm not sure that would be too great, so maybe it's just short hair I don't like.

Fair enough, although I much preferred her short cut to the hairstyle she sported when she first met with Bond at the bar. At any rate, I'll take you at your word that there is no racist intent in the point you are making. And by the way, Diana Ross's hair is definitely a weave!

I agree Halle was the hottest. Too bad it was in Die Another Day! I am not as much of a hater of DAD as many, but I would like to have seen Ms. Berry in a better Bond film.
