Excuse me!
David is right - as a collector I have found that items that are signed to the recipiant have limited value, (if you later want to sell, your name will mean nothing to a stranger who is also a collector) wheras a limited edition number such as 129/500, fuels curiosity and the rarity factor.
Thanks for reading. (Closes door)
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
sorry for all this double posting.... but its the only way I can keep you all updated
Fez, is starting the drawings this week some time, He is very excited about getting
going on the project... some good ideas which he will show us in pencil form before
taking it forward.... progress Status = Good :007)
I spoke with him last week he said he has got some pencil layouts
under way, I am hoping to meet up with him next week or the
following see what sort of stage its at, and report back to you guys
I will get some scans / photos of the progress
I am interested to see how it will look, hope we are onto a winner :007)

Hi guys, Got some great news on this project, got a call
Friday night from Fez, he asked me to pass on his
appologies for the lack of progress and updates regarding
the Bond painting, he has been between jobs, and had
to go down south for some family matters.
Glad to say all is good now, and its a GO! on the painting
I got a sneaky look at the Painting and its looking pretty
good for such an early stage, I have some photos of the
early sketch work for everyone to approve and maybe
put in some personal thoughts and input, see what you
think?
I am not at my own computer at the moment, I will
upload some photos of the painting tomorrow
Also, while scanning through lots of Bond photos I gave
him to work from of all the Bonds and Iain Fleming, as
he got into the gritty spy flavour and theme of the
painting, he has worked on a separate study of
Iain Fleming with his trademark cigarette and holder
so there will now be 2 separete paintings / drawings
although the Bond 'card playing' will be the main project
hope everyone is still on board, I can see real progress
with this now, I was pleasantly surprised when I went
to visit him yesterday, and teh detail he is going into in
the painiting.
Mister Greene's photoshop job of the Bond's playing cards
has been his main focus for the set up of the painting. with
some artistic changes and alterations etc
well he put across to me the idea that
Fleming as the dealer may have been
a bit too comedy, possibly he thought
but depending on the overall reactions
and feedbaack, it could be worked into
the set up, with Iain Fleming as the
dealer or maybe playing cards, with
The James Bond's, I myself liked the
idea of Fleming as the dealer,
he has gone with Fleming as a separate
artwork, which will be of its own Ltd ed
however as I say if there is a vast
support for Fleming being in the painting
then I will get back to the drawing board
with him, and alter it.
Is this a draft that will translate into a more photo realistic image? Or is he going for a more stylized work...I see in his portfolio he has done both....
I hear what you are saying from looking at
his portfolio samples I posted.
Having spent 2 years in this guys art class
in high school, I got to know how he goes
about starting a painting, it starts off very
free and light, with an almost free - not very
detailed drawing to start, then suddenly all
of the detail starts going in and you become
very impressed,
any more thoughts guys?
anyone want stuff changed, any major things
you want to ask or point out etc at this early
stage, while its in the development stages
because it would be a shame to get this to an
almost finished stage and then ideas and input
starts getting posted all over this topic
:007) you guys have as much input as the artist!
at this stage in the project
I am feeling strongly that Fleming should be in
the card painting, is it just Gadget Meister and
myself that feel this way
how do you guys feel about a Fleming artwork
as a different study?
Looking good Mick....am relaxed about the lack of reality in the sketch...I'm sure he is capable of capturing the faces....although DC seems to provide artists with a problem or two...
I also like the IanF as dealer idea...
How about building in each of the initial "funders" into the project - as onlookers. ...
Oh and of course Lexi and allesandra suitably attired :x
Btw I was kidding...... Although I like the idea of the"gals" being in it :007)
spoke to Fez a few nights ago, a meeting will be happening
this week or next to move things forward, Painting in the
final stages from what I know, and many of you will be happy
to hear that, Fleming will be in the casino scene watching
his creations playing at the table, but theres a neat idea
behind it, that I will keep as a surprise till its unvailed
Please add me to the list. I've been looking for this for 5 years, and my wife has talked to 7 different artists this year alone trying to get one made for my birthday. This will be perfect!
Ok Guys, This painting is due to be finished in
2 - 3 weeks, he is just finalising the positioning
of the characters and items on the table etc,
and a few background elements etc,
He has told me to stress that this is no way near
the detail and accuracy he intends to pour into
this final work,
these photos are just some of the latest, playing
around with colours and different materials and
techniques etc,
for reasurance guys in terms of how realistic the
Bond faces etc are going to be, check back to the
earlier samples etc I posted up of Fez's Work.
Fez jokingly stated in his rough colour sampling
image, Connery ended up looking like Frasier
Crane's Dad ) ) )
as I say rest asured guys, its well on its way now
hes working on it non stop now, and we hope to
be going to the printers Before Christmas
Theres going to be some little symbolic hints and
nods in the finished painting, but nothing obvious
there will be a lot going on in it, but not to take
away from the table / card scene
thanks guys, We hope to post up a finished item
very soon now :007)

cool Guys .. good call
I think he will have a nice pencil sketch for us soon .. and
yea, I will post up .. see reaction and we can go from there
But I feel, its best to leave it all down to him as the artist
and his vision for the painting.....
I feel we can all have a look say what we think, maybe a few
minor changes possibly, but it mostly has to be down to the
artist
I have a feeling it will echo the eraly Bond film posters, That style of art
- but wth a dark spy element to it :007)

stages of Fez's work on the Bond card playing
painting....
he asked for me to pass onto him your thoughts
and feedback
let me know what you think guys and if there is
any more interested parties,
also its been decided that each Ltd edition print will
be signed and numbered by the artist.
and will be limited to 200 maybe 300 at the most
he wants to add smoke into the setting to give the
Fleming style to the Casino etc,
please note guys this is still at an early stage

And what about my idea of painting each of us into the background?
B-)
A collection, of ideas and work etc, samples, of colours and styles etc
Just to give you an idea of the scale hes going to be drawing the final painting
up at.... the 1p penny on the sheet gives an idea of the size....
some tester work on the table materials and skin tones testing, just
some rough stuff.
Some scale sketching and layouts etc
