I haven't read today's entertainment news, but your news would make me very happy. I would love for Javier Bardem to sign up for Bond 23. It's tit-for-tat going on between Ron Howard and EON Production. Howard wants Bardem, EON wants Bardem, Howard gets Bardem, EON still wants Bardem. First they said Dark Tower may film in September 2012, then Howard wanted to push it up to September 2011. It almost seems impossible Bardem would have time to do Bond 23. We shall see.
I've been reading in a few forums that it seems Javier Bardem has jumped ship as Bond now Clashes with other Commitments. Sad If True, I think He'd of been a great Villain.
Then again it frees up the part for Charlie Sheen )
HAHA charlie sheen playing himself as the villain that'd be good!
Although somehow TOO scary, you know? like he has no rules at all, like he actually has no concept of reality at all on any level.
I realise this is all speculation and that can be fun, but honestly what's the point, if they have a script like the last one. You can cast who you want and it won't matter.

Good point there, chap, but with Charlie sheen on project who knows what fun and games could be had??!

True. QOS had the best written script since the 60s, Sheen could've been Greene and it still would've worked. :007)
Congratulations to Javier Bardem for being honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. -{
A very good actor and Bond villain. In interviews I have seen and read relating to Skyfall he has come across as very approachable and likeable with a good sense of humour.

Why the blonde hair? Is there an answer to this? It really didn't fit his appearance to me. It was a little distracting and bizarre. I suppose it might have been part of what made him creepy to watch, perhaps.
I think it's to make him look Bizarre. Could also Possibly have something
to do with Mirroring Bond.
Then again Actors "Using the method " and all that. ) who Knows.
I'm sure it will be explained on some special feature interview on the DVD.

If I remember correctly, the reason for the blonde hair in the plot is due to the effects of the cyanide he took. It was supposed to kill him but basically destroyed his mouth and turned his hair blonde.
Personally, I think Javier Bardem would have been just as creepy with his own natural hair. Having said that, I was not distracted by the blonde hair as much as I thought I would be before seeing the film.

I too found his hair distracting and took away from the seriousness of his role.
I rekon it would have looked better if it was white.... and if it was supposed to be changed because of the cyanide, then surely whote would a better choice?
She's worth whatever chaos she brings to the table and you know it. ~ Mark Anthony
I don't think it had anything to do with the Cyanide.
According to the costume designer in a GQ interview it was Bardem who chose to have blonde hair so that he could look totally different and get into character better (not direct quote but something along those lines)

Can someone remind me what Raoul Silvas real name is. M mentioned it once, and I missed it. Thanks in advance.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

That'd be mind blowing.
