What's up with mi6.co.uk?

When I try to log on it comes up as commanderbond.net, also a very good Bond website but not the same... have they merged? Or is foul play at work?

    Good lord! Initially that new site looks the same... but the forums have ditched all the old content and now look horrible, with no categories, really unattractive.

    They had some legal dispute or something that couldn't resolved, so this is another controversial reboot it seems! X-(

    So much for posting my waffley amazing OHMSS thread there, it's not worthy!

    What a pile of poo the new look forum is, it's never been a good forum on MI6 anyway. 8-)

    100% agree, mi6.co.uk was always full of kids who knew sweet FA who spent most threads commenting on star trek, the possibilities of being able to write the next bond film if they asked bab's really nicely and slating pierce brosnan.

    Folks, we're not here to slate other forums. That's not what AJB strives for. If you don't have anything nice to say, please, refrain from saying anything or discuss it in your private emails. Thank you.

    ok ok, i'll stop the slating before i get started, but this kind of talk;
    This change has come about due to a number of structural and technical reasons, many of which will remain classified.

    is exactly why i left. its as though the admin of mi6.co.uk are indeed themselves secret agents of her maj's government.

    why all the cloak and dagger crap? people just want to be kept informed and not treated like mushrooms.

    rant over.

    Minigeff, the excellent causes you provide in your signature are better then any Bond forum, mate -{

    I'm not sure if Alex was commenting on criticism of mi6 generally or the revamp specifically. Personally I thought the forum were quite intense, articulate and passionate when I logged on, much more active than on this site if a bit highly strung. I don't like the new forum layout - and I'm only saying what other members are saying on the site itself, so it's not really controversial. Charles Vine was one poster, v traditionalist and articulate.

    Worst, all the history of the posting as evaporated, gone, kaput, like it never happened. They're having to start again like after the Bomb. :(

    Criticism of other people at other sites. The remodel can be a civil discussion. I only object to putting down the habits and posting styles of others.

    Happy friday all.

    It's cr*p. AJB is the only Bond site. Frankly, it is the only reason I log on.

    Apart from hardcore porn, obviously. :v
