The James Bond Connection to World Events
Comparing the Japanese earthquake and tsunami to the James Bond scenarios.
3 nuclear reactors in the Fukushima nuclear plant exploded and over 200000 people were evacuated. Now, radiation will spread all over Japan, the Koreas, parts of China as well as the Western US. It's Hiroshima and Chernobyl all over again! Except there were no volcanic explosion happened during the earthquake. (Think YOLT).
The nuclear explosion in Japan reminds me of Dr. No.

I don't really get your point. I don't see a connection. There hasn't been a nuclear explosion, merely a build up of pressure that has exploded and resulted in a small leak of radiation. It's hardly Hiroshima as no atomic weapons have been dropped. The earthquake and tsunami were natural disasters. Millions of lives are being ruined, tens of thousands are missing-presumed dead, Japan's economy will take years to recover. I don't think this disaster will remind many people of a Bond scenario, and I certainly hope they keep quite if it does.

While there remains a low (but not insignificant ) risk that the fukushima facility suffers further serious problems the current radiation spread is very low indeed - the equivalent of having a couple of xrays. Also it won't travel very far at all - certainly not USA - without a bigger release and favourable weather patterns.
However the mindless propagation of factless inuendo is fueling the true problem - panic
most of the evacuations have been precationary - if the situation worsens it'll take too long to evacuate hundreds of thousands and starting now is aiding the political credibilty process - not easy in japan.
To sum up, any decent human being will feel for the poor people of Japan.
But to assimilate the disaster with acts of fiction serves little purpose.
Lest we forget, the only crucial difference between fiction and reality is that in the latter the pain is real.
