Your Bond universe

Quite often on ajb007 people include Casino Royale (1954), Casino Royale (1967), and Never Say Never Again as part of their James Bond universe. I have seen them all, and each have their quirks. But I never include them in my James Bond universe. I have old copies of them I have taped off the TV, but I'd never buy them or collect anything to do with them as they aren't EON productions or official James Bond films. Everyone is different and has their own opinion.

How many of you feel the same way as me, and how many of you regard one or all in your 007 canon?? I'm just interested and would like to see the percentage of people either way. Please discuss:

Quite like NSNA - hate the soundtrack/score, but don't own a copy. Never seen the original Casino Royale, seen but don't own Casino Royale '67, don't like it either. I own all Bond's from Dr. No through to QOS.

Indeed those who think CR(67) is a bond film probably feel same way about Austin powers ...

Btw Barry nelson CR (54) is really quite good and you should at least watch it...

I do include the non-EON films in my "Bond universe" as I feel that they still have a legitimate connection to the source, though I do think that CR67 is just plain silly. I also include the books, Fleming and otherwise.

I do have NSNA and CR(67) in my dvd collection,but never watch them, as I don't include them as part of the official Bond story, in the same way I have the Derek Flint and Man fron Uncle Movies. I like all the superspy stuff ) . and I too have never seen the B Nelson CR, I'll have to make a point of catching it sometime.
As far as the Books go I've read all of them many times ( except TSWLM, which I've only read once ). I've tried One young Bond Book but can't accept Bond as a Kid. I want him smoking,drinking and getting girls. -{

Connery's comeback film is definitely part of my collection. I consider anything that uses a Fleming source something I'm going to check out. Regardless of an EON stamp. This material is something in MY universe and can be viewed as an individual entry. 'Official' isn't that important to me, more Bond is.

I've upgraded NSNA to blu but am quite content with keeping my original CR dvd. Especially for the bonus '54 program. If I do watch that mess it's usually only the Mata Hari Barbara Bouchet or Woody Allen bits. Can't stand the rest of it. The poster is very nice though.

funny the reaction NSNA and CR67 get on this board, reminds me of when politicians get asked about past misdeeds, "I watched it, but I didn't inhale.."

I saw CR67 when I was a kid, and never watched it since. Saw NSNA @ the pictures, and have it on dvd, hardley watch it though, but I don't mind it, it's just.........?

Fleming was my first source of 007, these "rogue" films come from the same source, so I include them in my "universe". Still love CR(67) and NSNA. Only have a truncated version of CR(54) and haven't watched it since my first viewing, but would welcome a full version into my collection.

I have NSNA but not CR 67 i think NSNA should be there since SC is Bond to alot of people. I would like to get a dvd copy of the original CR with Barry Nelson I have never seen it other than a couple of clips and think it should be included

CR 67 is my guilty pleasure and technically the first movie involving James Bond that I ever saw - blame my Dad :P That said, I secretly believe it's a crazy dream that M dreamt while accidentally trying some new cognitive enhancer from Q's lab. I've never seen NSNA, so I can't say.
