To whom it may concern - dear AJB007-er,

I would like to give a gift to the dog of a lady friend.

What would you suggest?

It's a very small lady dog.

Thank you.

So the Dog would be " The Property of a Lady ". how about a male dog, I'm sure she'd like that :)), Unless she's a complete Bitch.

I'm getting worried about all this lady wooing by pet. Last time I checked you were buying gifts for a lady's horse! Now it's a dog! :D

I would suggest a lovely collar.
Something customised - with a lead to match.

Or for something a bit unusual - a (and I can't believe I'm saying this..... :)) ) but a 'grooming day' for the dog - you know where they go to get washed and then trimmed. Sort of like a 'salon' day for a dog.

People who have small dogs, kinda like that thing.....

I finally bought Hermès stirrups for that person. And I made her a card with iPhoto (first time ever). Apple is so cool.

They were about 225$. It's not that bad (even though they are probably worth 20$). I wanted to buy her a whip, but they were 1250$, so... maybe next time.

Well she's a friend, so... you know... but then, does men-women friendship really exist? That's for another thread.

I'll email Goyard ( http://www.goyard.com/goyard.html ) to see what are their kind of prices for dog collars.

    (In reverse order)

    1) Yes, men - women platonic friendship does exist. Just scan across the Ladies Watercooler.
    2) Pet Accesories are a good ideas, such as dog bowls, riding hats, tin of leather polish for the saddle...
    3) $225 for stirups? - $1250 for a whip?!! (Looks exasperated) - why not go the whole hog and buy the horse?!

I'm sorry, I am Scottish so I am genetically doomed to detest gross waste expenditure of money for no good reason. :s

    Hi Lexi! (Waves)

    Hi Thunderbird 2 :D

Glad you popped over to the watercooler.... you are always welcome, as you know!

It is amazing the cost of accessories..... I mean you can spend just as much on a pooch, as you can on jewelry for women, but I suppose, if the demand is there.... and people are willing to spend that kind of money, then.....

Although I don't think Toutbrun would think it a waste of money.... especially if he is making subtle gestures of admiration :v

(However, for me, sod the bloody dog, and buy me the jewels :)) )

We will see in a few months what is waste and what is investment.
