Hi mfstudio, I too like most things on your list, Gunbarrel back at the start of the movie would be nice, along with the return of Q & Moneypenny and as with Golrush007 I'd like the gadgets kept more realistic.
I like Arnold as composer and really liked his score for QOS. and YES, get the Bond theme back ( they still use it on the trailers ). If Bond 23 goes to Canada or the US then hopefully we'll get more of Felix Leiter who was hardly used in QOS.
But I feel the DB5 should be forgotten about Can't see Craigs Bond being into classic cars and anyway the CR DB5 has the streering wheel on the wrong side. (The proper place for a steering wheel is on the Right ) ).
And I too feel Blofeld belongs to another time, much as I love the character.I feel they should press on and come up with some new characters, Hopefully more memorable than D Greene & Elvis.
For the titles get D Kleinman back I loved his work.
While I love Aston Martins (who doesn't) they can't be in every film, so the alternative is that Bond is given a different make or goes and pinches someone else's car-like the AMC Hornet in TMWTGGun, or Ford Bronco in QOS.
Would be good to have some unexpected surprises. Like in Goldfinger, the old lady on the gate barrier suddenly whips out a sub-machine gun !
While I love Aston Martins (who doesn't) they can be in every film. And not just every James Bond films. DB5 can be in Jason Bourne movies too. And The Italian Job. And Star Wars and Ben Hur and 2000 years BC.................
It's good really to have some positive stuff we want rather than stuff we don't want.
1) A big balls out pts maybe a military operation that goes wrong, somewhere in the Middle East, with Craig having a tangential role in it. A bit Battle: Los Angeles
2) I do want the Middle East to pop up in it in some form or other. What with the Arab Spring it seems a more optimistic area anyhow. Could that be a title for a movie, Arab Spring? Arab Summer?
3) Something a bit more of the old English about the M office scenes as a contrast to the other stuff.
4) Let Craig's Bond stop and smell the roses a bit more.
5) Clever banter between him and the villain, like that's the main relationship almost.
6) No real inner psyche rubbish going on. I don't want him on a learning curve. I don't want M to die because then it becomes some grim movie but I do want her moved on or phased out.
7) New York at some point. Really I want some nice locations with an urban feel, maybe something of Face/Off occassionally.
8) I don't want Quantum popping up except tangentially I do feel it's a cat that hasn't jumped really plus it brings us back to the old tortured over Vesper Bond and I want a break from that.
9) Credits a bit more lush and chic, with clips from the last two films rather like in the credits of Goldfinger. Subtly done, not like in OHMSS.
10) John Barry... but it's not to be.
1) Beautiful locations - Panama and South Africa would be great
2) A chase that isn't complete ****
3) Action scenes that aren't ruined by a shaky camera
4) We should see Bond briefly enjoying himself ie off duty
5) Bond to spend some time in a tux
6) Menacing, convincing villain - someone like Mark Strong, but not him because he's done too many villains(Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes etc)
7) Bond to work officially with Felix - CIA and MI6 are allies after all
8) A decent original theme song that is tailored to suit this film in particular - Michael Bublé would be a good choice, but my favourite would be the Killers
A happy ending
“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to a better understanding of ourselves.” - Carl Jung
I do think chase scenes must be harder than they look. They work best when integrated into the style of the movie somehow. Recently they do look a bit like, here's the chase scene we prepared earlier. And now... back to the movie.
Bullitt is an example of a chase that is oddly directed and works very well, it's not generic at all, seems to grow out of the movie.
I hope that if they do go to S.Africa they get a better Director of Photography, who'll be able to capture all the beauty of that great country, rather than whizzing through with a cameraman suffering from visual turrets. )

Yes I'd like a bit of that, Bond and Leiter working together in a big action sequence. )

It would be nice.
But I don't want the middleast, I think we've all seen enough Desert landscapes in QOS. and Once again, please Eon Buy a steadycam )
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
A) At least one non white bond girl, either mixed race or Latina as they're underrepresented - love Thunderpussy's suggestion of Zoe Saldana as an American agent
Resolution of the Quantum Group - yes, they're a less interesting version of SPECTRE, but I'd like to see a little plot continuity b/w QoS and Bond 23
C) A plot at least tangentially relating to cybersecurity somehow - MI6 has been breached by hackers and a list of 00s/other super sekrit plot MacGuffin has been comprimised. I know I'm ripping off Alias/Covert Affairs/most spy shows in existence, but really what I want to see is Craig!Bond growing up, getting over himself, and cleaning up some of the messes he's made at MI6
D) More of MI6 staff - definitely Moneypenny (preferably played by Jamie Murray), another agent or two who go out into the field with Bond. I'm curious as to how the rest of MI6 sees him based on his actions on CR and QoS
E) An epic battle sequence involving Bond and allies
Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.
I really liked Daniel Craig in both his movies, but I'm convinced:
1) Henry Cavill as James Bond. He has the right age, right looks, right voice, presence, charm, masculinity (etc.) for the role. He just seems perfect IMO. At first when I heard the suggestion in another thread, I was thinking: "what? no..", but then I looked up an interview of him, and I saw Bond.
2) Many beautiful girls in the next one.
3) Tom Ford designs the clothes/does his thing! Loved the clothes in QoS, they brought forth a powerful presence of their own. Just looked too damn perfect, couldn't take my eyes of them.

I agree in part. Cavill may be good for the role of Bond but he's far too young looking at the moment. Like me, he's blessed with youthful looks. (Honest) When he's 35-40 he'll be ideal! -{
I think Craig will be good for a few more movies. I'll protest in London if they boot him after 24, who's with me? :))
On the subject of bad guys, I totally agree with what another chap said about Mark Strong, I adore his portrayal of villains and have done ever since I first saw him in Sharpe's Mission. I dare say that he's too obvious and wouldn't be surprising. I'd like an element of surprise when the leader is announced. Like when I watched Dogma and saw Alanis Morissette playing the part of god!
A cross-dressing Villain
some deadly Ninja Nuns
a henchman with a metal Foot
a leading lady who gets it on with the other leading lady.
an underground base on top of a skyscraper
a scene involving Attack Hamsters
some teen vampires
some song and Dance numbers
Mylie Cyrus as new Head of the CIA
Bond eating a Burger
Katie Price as the new M
Bond given Gadgets that are no use to him ( Rocket skis, when he's in the desert )
Bond getting some help from Batman
More product placement, ( Bond meeting a contact at McDonalds)
Blofeld back only now instead of a cat he has a Trained Turbot.
a plot involving, Dairy cows, David Beckham's coded Book & world Domination
Now that's what I call Entertainment )
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Very nice post and would like to add to the ever growing wish list:
1. Bond Girls will either be: Freida Pinto, Mila Kunis, Stana Katic (as one sharp-eyed user has already mentioned) and the cat-out-of-the-bag: Rachel Weisz (a menage-a-tois as Sam Mendes dated the lovely Rachel for 2 years and Daniel is her current squeeze, nice!)
2. Moneypenny: Rachel Buckley who played a MP type in "Keen Eddie" and referred to as "Hornypenny", hahaha!
3. Q, I would love to see Hugh Laurie revert to his English tongue for this role; but if they're going for a younger version (in keeping with the reboot) a geeky Brit actor (not from the IT Crowd!)
4. Dame Shirley Bassey for the theme tune (as she had done something similar on her incredible comeback album);or Adele.
5. Kudos to the gun barrel, we all want to see that and if Sam Mendes wants our respect, he'll do as we want!
6. More action Martin Campbell style. While QoS had some great set pieces, scenes like Bond taking out the Mi6 men in the elevator were poorly edited.
7. More Aston Martin scenes, more Felix Leiter (who had better screen time in QoS)
- I would like Shirley Bassey to do the song for the 50th anniversary.
- A non American actress (no Teri Hatchers, Halle Berry or Denise Richards')
- Gun barrel back at start
- Q and Moneypenny. They are classic Bond characters.
- Skiing and wintersports.
- Excellent writing and intriguing characters we care about (something QoS failed to achieve).
- Less Bourne copy-cat ****.
- Not too much 50th anniversary-ness like DAD. No Connery, Moore et al appearances (tacky), maybe a few classy nods to the past 22 films like Bassey, but not over the top.
- Unused parts of Fleming books.
- Just the BEST Bond film would be nice. I mean we've waited for 4 years, and I'm sure the team have been brainstroming, thinking about Bond 23, not just having a four year nap.
1. Painted teaser poster artwork. No way the producers are going to have the main poster in the old school artstyle. But a second teaser poster shouldn't mess up their advertising campaign at all.

Agree with almost all of that (don't really care about Q or Moneypenny) and much as I love Miss Bassey I would prefer something less self referential and more contemporary if possible.
I would add a PTS that's unconnected with the rest of the story, plus some real glamour and if possible some Decolletage and uncomplicated fun for our boy (in between the carnage of course)
PPK 7.65mmSaratoga Springs NY USAPosts: 1,253MI6 Agent
Here is my list:
A decent script
Gunbarrel at the start of the teaser again
Bond... James Bond
Traditional briefing with M at MI6 and please no more of M treating him like a child
Moneypenny and Q return though written to fit into how the series is now
Gadgets grounded in reality, like night vision goggles or other stuff a covert ops specialist would use in real life
Aston Martin
No hyper editing like on QOS
Bond visits Canada, Australia, Peru or some other place where he has not been to yet.

1) Walther PPK & that cute little knife from QOS
2) A quick glimpse of Vesper's photo.
3) The real Yusef has been found dead.
4) No Blofeld, Q or Moneypenny
4) Ian Fleming story line - From a View to a Kill, set in Canada
5) Pre-title sequence in either Afganistan or Africa
6) Expanded role for Jeffrey Wright as Leiter
7) New "M" preferably Michael Gambon
8) UK, Canada and Switzerland locations - including a nice drive in the DB7
9) Powerful. meglomaniac villian who has nothing to do with SPECTRE, Blofeld or Quantum
10) A good theme song by David Arnold
Bond’s Beretta
The Handguns of Ian Fleming's James Bond
5) Liam Neeson as "M"
6) Christoph Waltz/Tom Cruise/Michael Emerson/Liam Neeson(if not as "M") starring as villain(could work well I think).

Not the worst idea I've ever heard.
