Bring back Jaws as an Ally

Since Jaws is the only villain to have a change of heart towards Bond, I was thinking they could bring him back as an ally for 007. Richard Kiel is still around, they could digitally make him a little younger with CGI.

No--he's a big cartoon character who was perfect for the Roger Moore era, but inappropriate for the down-and-dirty Daniel Craig era.

I don't think so.......in the current Craig era films someone would pull out a Sig or a Browning Hi Power and put one between his eyes before he could bite anything.

I would like to say it's a great idea, but I can't lie: It's a very bad idea. Sorry.

Sorry jamesdude, but Jaws is from another time, another place and IMHO wouldn't work in the modern era. Although I would like to see Craig's Bond up against at least One Bigger more physical henchman. Elvis just didn't cut it for me. :))

I just think it would be nice to see a past villian return. See how hollywood would modernize them.

I also think this would be a bad idea. However, it would be to see Richard Kiel make a cameo in the film as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations.

Richard Kiel was a classic Bond icon, but the character was from a different era. Like Oddjob, or the original Bond Villain Dr No.

The answer with the reboot is NEW ideas, new stories, and new types of bad guys, not a retread of what has been done before. Don;t get me wrong, I am for a larger than life baddie, but he (or she) has to have character, and originality.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Not a big ask, surely. You wouldn't mind having Craig stood in front of you at a gig.

I don't care who's in the film, so long as it isn't a total flop. Just like after Goldeneye, they became lazy and messed up the Brosnan Bond. I think Quantum was a great movie, but not close to Casino Royale in terms of quality. Let's hope it's not another slippery slope.

Let's have good scripts with good narrative, good casting and less 'sell-out'. Just a shame Martin Campbell won't direct follow-ons.

I sense you will be happy with Bond 23 then... ;)

Bring Jaws back as Ally? What, with a sex change and moony look on her face? Could work.

    Please, no!
The character of Jaws represents everything that went wrong with the series.
I never liked Jaws; imagine my crushing disappointment as TSWLM unfolded on the big screen for the first time with this character spoiling everything.
I do NOT want Jaws to return, nor the farce and slapstick he represents.
    Leave him in the past.

Jaws WAS Richard Kiel. Impossible to recast such a role, in the same way it's impossible to recast Q (although Q Branch can return, of course).

Still find it funny that one chap suggested Jack Nicholson to be cast as Q. Was a tea spitting moment. :))
