QOS Budget Harrington

Yes...another one...but this one is particularly good because of the little details...good collar, good back line, good cuffs, AND good deep midnight navy color....and the price. Can't beat it. Lands End Canvas is more fitted than traditional Lands End so FYI...oh, and check out their navy MESH polo for a potential Sunspel alternative sans pocket.....

For the price it really is a fantastic jacket.

Though it has a 3-button placket, the pocket and color (and the sale price) clinched it for me. I did, however, notice a difference in color on another shirt. Look:

Can anyone confirm which "True Navy" is the right one? I'm hoping for the darker one, as the lighter one is the same color I just got from JCPenney (on my "Polos on a budget" thread).

Anyone seen these before?

I personally - don't like the elastic ribbing on waist and sleeves, makes it less authentic to Bonds

Not a harrington , but I'm thinking something like this will be a decent alternative. http://www.dickies.com/product/product_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3A%3Afolder_id=2534374302025366&PRODUCT%3A%3Aprd_parent_id=2534374302024573&PRODUCT%3A%3Aprd_id=845524441761331
An outside the box alternative. Not quite as stylish. I've had a couple before and they are durable. Comes in black or navy blue. Lined or unlined. I'd remove the logo too. In a way i like being screen inaccurate. Putting my own twist on things. Might not be good enough for some, but the price is right.

Opinions on this one?

I think the photo's make it look a little more blue than it looks in 'real' life and I don't know if it's the one Mantis was talking about at the begining of the thread here, but to me it looks accurate enough. Now I need some new jeans to go with it. Guess with my waistline about to expand over Christmas Better to wait until the New Year!
EDIT
Realise it might be good to include the photo's
In case anyone is still on the lookout for a budget alternative to the TF, here is a pretty good match from Eddie Bauer: the material is a little heavier than the Land's End, it has no elastic at the cuff, and minimal elastic at the waist, and at $89 it's a pretty good deal. Only downsides are the duck motif lining, but that can be changed out pretty easily, and the duck icon on the chest:

Good alternative. I've always liked Eddie Bauer's quality too.
