Anyway, nice article. Thanks, DM!
No probs. Then again, Brosnan did do five films if you count "Everything Or Nothing" a part of the series.
I share your pain, superdaddy....I too wish he does another 4 or more -{
It would also give every actor a good run to put their own take on the character. Also I don't think anyone would want an Old Bond again, Although as I'm getting older Sir Roger is looking younger and younger in AVTAK.
I always thought my reason for not liking Craig's Bond was Reasonable.
Or am I just being Obstinate again. )
Personally I would like to see a hybrid whereby Bond is suave and more recognisably 'officer class' but retains the hard edge, and has moments of enjoyment in his tough life. So for me it's not 'this' or 'that', but both. I think that DC will manage both credibly in 23.
Roger Moore 1927-2017
I guess money talks and they will keep him on this path until the films start dipping $ wise.
Will be interesting to see where this movie goes or wether its an extension of the other two. I feel something has to be a little different this time around otherwise it will become stale like the Bourne Trilogy
Knock em out two at time so age and time aren't a factor. Won't happen but it is a solution none the less. Who doesn't want a Bond film every year? This is a trend the franchise should jump on!
I think he really overdid it in QoS - and he admits that too... so it will be interesting to see how 'physical' he will be in the next one.
I reckon at least one more after this... and hopefully another.... but I guess time will tell. :007)
The Craig era is to me, what the Moore era was to Loeffs and others. I can't wait for it to be over. He is SO not James Bond.
Nice thought....but impossible...too much money to tie up for a start...and the Bond cash cow will need to be properly milked and releasing them so close will not allow that....
It could cause quite a delay to double the size of the project like that... Bond 23 is taking long enough. I can't imagine them ever putting together twice the writing, locations, and product placement in a timely manner. LOTR was different as it was fairly tightly woven in location, story, and style, so it just made more sense to have those film as a group.
It can be difficult when you feel a little left out that way...I've been lucky in so far that I've always managed to enjoy the tenure of whichever actor that has been playing Bond at the time....some I prefer more than others...I thought Brosnan did a great job - just his scripts were lousy....DC has been fantastic in his two films so far....and I can't wait for the third from him...and hopefully a couple more after that...
Sorry you feel that way Barry - maybe I will feel how you do now when you get the actor you prefer... -{
while i like that they took bond and made him more human, more deep....i don't know if it will stick as a long-term solution. i don't think it can. otherwise bond is going to turn into every other action movie star out there. craig, i think, is the transition bond. he's going to stick only for a bit longer until they compose the new bond image, and then they'll cast someone as a long-term idea for that role.
