    ohmss is one of my favourite films but i like Roger Moore best and Moonraker is my favourite.

    Besides Sean Connery being THE Bond when it comes down to the initial image that the world got for this film franchise, I am massively favoring of Daniel Craig's gritty/physical Bond. Brosnan was a great one too. I thought Moore was too campy, but still a Bond in my mind. The rest weren't Bond for long enough for me to think of them as him.

    Tough choice,
    Connery to me is the origin of the species and all his movies are worth watching. Other Actors can only be compared to Him not surpass. :D
    But I love Dalton's Bond, IMHO very close to the Bond of the novels, So taking Connery out of the equation, He'd be my Favourite Bond.
    As for Movie, That's easier as it's OHMSS, to me " Practically Perfect " as Mary Poppins would say. :))
    I even like Lazenby's potrayal of a Young Bond, making him More human after YOLT.

    Probably being a bit unoriginal here, but it's got to be Connery and FRWL/Goldfinger for me. Though OHMSS is also a favourite.

    I got a feeling this thread could end up being a bit predictable - can't see too many people opting for Roger and FYEO, for instance!!!


    Maybe the question should be what's everyone's favourite "non-Connery" Bond and film?

    Me personally, I would choose Pierce Brosnan, although, Daniel Craig is a close second. I'd choose TND or Casino Royale as my favorite movies.

    We used to have a regular member around here called JennyFlexFan--as his username would indicate, he'd be a likely candidate for this film.

    As for me, I am nothing if not predictable: Connery and Goldfinger, no contest.

    Daniel Craig - and my fav movie is either Casino, or Qos - however, I saw Licence to Kill the other day, and forgot just how good that was.... Dalton was really good as Bond. Very underrated IMO

    To the AVTAK post, AVTAK is a terrific Bond movie, just with an older Bond.

    Though, of course its not my absolute favorite Bond movie but its up there.

    My favorite Bond actor is Timothy Dalton.

    My favorite Bond movie is On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and For Your Eyes Only tied.

    Don't get me wrong, Wadsy. I enjoy all the Bond films just depends on the mood as to which one. a fun Sir Roger, or a Darker Dalton, etc. -{. At least we're in agreement on Dalton and OHMSS. :))

    Oh, there's a whole lot more that is wrong with AVTAK besides an over-the-hill Bond (although that's a MAJOR problem), but I admire your loyalty.

    Sean Connery is the best at playing James Bond, but i think Daniel Craig is a much better actor than Sean Connery. 'On Her Majesty's Secret service' is the best Bond film in my opinion, although 'From Russia with Love', and 'The SPY who Loved Me' are also personal favourites.

    Dalton is the best. As for the movie it's a tossup between TLDaylights and OHMSS.

    My favorite Bond is Timothy Dalton - the closest to Fleming's view in my opinion.
    And my favorite Bond film is probably Casino Royale.

    Makes the rest of the series out to be Junk.

    he could conceivably had appeared in that but turned down 1969's On Her Majestys Secret Service at the time of production as he thought at 21, he would be too young for the role and did not register in subsequent releases until 1987's Daylights

    Well they DO have the young Bond novels, so why not some old Bond novels as well :)) :D

    Not being overly original but Connery & OHMSS or FRWL ( Though Live and Let Die will always have a soft spot near the top of any of my Favorite lists )
