Special Edition Covers vs. Ultimate Edition Covers

Which DVD covers do you prefer? I prefer the Special Edition because overall, they come off more appealing to me. The Ultimate Edition covers are entertaining, but they get boring after awhile. GE for example had a much better cover on the Special Edition than the Ultimate in my opinion. What are your thoughts?

    Nothing to chose between them for me - both bloody awful with no care put into the design at all.

    The best looking releases were the UK VHS series from the 90's that used the original poster artwork for each film.

    I would like to think that with the blu ray releases being relaunched next year, that this would be rectified, but I wouldn't bet my house on it.

    Agreed. Seems to be an attempt to make past Bonds looks a bit rough, all the better to praise the current incumbent. Brozzer looked like Frankenstein in some of the more recent ones.

    That said, they are trying to make them like modern day, star-led posters rather than the old ones where Bond was buried in the middle of a wonderful display, a la Live and Let Die.

    They need to keep it simple and use the poster artwork. I did like the old custom intros per film. I don't know why they messed around and changed that...

    They keep changing them to get silly fans like us to buy the different sets of covers so our collections can be complete. One of the reasons I don't collect much Bond stuff. For example I'll wait untill the second release of all the Bonds on blu-ray until I buy them.as thay should have all the special features anf specials etc, and that's if I buy them at all at the moment I'm more than happy with the upscaled DVD. :))
    I loved the old Posters too and think the original should be used where possible. as In the Brilliant LALD, Had that poster on mY wall for years. -{

    Sir Roger looked amazing in that poster and that is how I picture Bond when reading Flemings novels.

    Although I can now see what that they where doing with the poster to QOS, showing Bond and Camille totally alone against the desert showing how thay where infact up against Greene and QUANTUM by themselves. No gadgets, or super equipment just their trainning and resolve. -{
