    Usual marketing-blahblah.

He may be able to tell this after the shooting (even then, I would find such a thing brave), but for sure not yet!

How often have we heard, that the present Bond is the "best Bond ever!" 8-)

What Bondtoys said. In truth, I think most actors, directors, producers, gaffers, etc., go into a movie thinking and saying, "This will be the best thing ever!" They're not expecting it to turn into a critically-reviled turkey or something that winds up in the straight-to-DVD aisle. That said, I hope Craig is right and this turns out to be a magnificent film!

....not to mention all the lies, that are told after shooting 8-)

My co-actor has been the funnies and talented, most sexy etc. person, that I have ever met. The director is a genius, his visions are larger than life and everybody on set loved him to death....

More lies are only told before elections :o

Agree with HB, I hope, that DC is correct.

However we have heard the same from him prior to QoS 8-)

Casino Royale is tough to beat. Quantum of Solace didn't make improvements overall, so I have trouble believing the enthusiasm, but we'll see. Now that they aren't going back to any Quantum plot points, it could be a good standalone Bond movie. I have similar doubts for The Dark Knight Rises. How do you live up to The Dark Knight?

Well, except for the last guy to wear the tux, he had a habit of slagging on the previous film whilst promoting the new one. Craig's approach is refreshing.

Craig's approach certainly is refreshing, I've never heard a Bond actor Slagging off previous actors like Connery and Brosnan before :))

Yes, but it is interesting that they are not saying it's going to be better than QoS - I know, I know, the marmite of the series, but I LOVED QoS - however, I can't ignore the fact that a quite a few fans didn't - and it seems that Craig recognises that as well.... hence referencing Casino instead.

I am really intrigued now... I have really enjoyed the darker style of Bond, but I get the feeling this one will be much more light-hearted - and following the style of Connery and earlier Moore... I guess we shall see. :007)

    (1) NME headline: "Daniel Craig: 'Bond 23 will be better than Casino Royale'"

    (2) NME 1st paragraph: "James Bond actor Daniel Craig has said that he believes the next Bond film could be better than Casino Royale."

    (3) What Craig actually said: "I read the script the other day, and I'm more excited about this than I was about Casino, because we've kind of got a classic Bond movie plus lots of other things." (Source http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pw7i82JUaw&feature=relmfu)

Sir Miles, Please let me delude myself for a another year, telling myself over and over again " Things are going to get better, after all tomorrow is another Day " :))
or when you say "Previous style" are you talking about the God awful camera work of QOS. :v I would like the chance of watching a Bond movie as if I wasn't seeing a viewing during an earthquake. :D
And of course Scripts have a habbit of changing, what starts out as a Brilliant new Interpretation of Romeo & Juliet ends up as a space battle with frogs fighting disco Bunnies over the freedom of ape slaves in another Galaxy, to the music of chase and Dave. ( Please don't try and steal this Idea, as I've copyrighted it ) :v

Well......I just don't think you will get the movie you are after...I suggest you stay at home and watch DAD again...then tell me how much better it is to DC's two Bond movies ;)
As to the second point....I just think you are getting too old :))

Did it really ? As much as QoS - adjusted for inflation naturally ?

    The music in DAF is some of the best in the whole series....and certain aspects are very good...and it is a great romp of a movie....it's not in my top 10 by a long way...but it's enjoyable enough -{

    Sean Connery's hairpiece? :D

I can agree on the score though, but apart from this, I can't find much more.

You forget - Craig is including 1967's CR and NSNA in the numbering...

Therefore, all he is saying is that Casino Royale is better than the other CR...

Here are those certain aspects of DAF Bondtoys.
    1) The score & title song and sequence
    2) Blofelds Cat
    3) Wint & Kidd, Gay henchmen in 71 Too funny
    4) The close out scene with Wint & Kidd on the cruiseliner
    5) The introduction in humor that truly kept the series going through the Moore years and without that the Bond films may well have been just a period piece of the 60's
    6) AND MOST IMPORTANT THE SEXIEST BOND GIRL IMHO OF ALLTIME
    JILL ST JOHN
    7) JILL ST JOHN
    8) JILL ST JOHN
    9) JILL ST JOHN
Ok Ok if it was not for JSJ, K&W, the cat and the music the movie stunk but I sure did love JSJ :D

If only money were an indicator of how good a movie was...I am just afraid that a couple similar movies would stagnate the entire franchise.
