I'd prefer S.Africa, as It was one of my suggestions for possible locations, I'm glad the producers are starting to listen to Me. :))

I'd rather have S. Africa. All countries have a luxurious side, but it is more available in S. Africa and I miss the elegant luxury of Casino Royale's locations over Quantum of Solace. I hope they have a few other nice locations in Europe or some paradise.

I think they should tell India to " Pound sand " and move the shoot to South Africa. This way they can avoid all those governmental Indian " Ass covering prigs " :)) :)) :)). Not sure what a prig is, but I have a idea :D :s :D
  • I don't know why they have to go to all the trouble to shoot these fancy locations, It's James Bond, so we have to go to Africa, Mexico, India, Outer Space etc

I'd be really content to see Bond do some actions pieces on the beach at Weston Super Mare and then have a boat chase over to Cardiff or something, they don't have to be fancy sets all the time :(

Fancy is part of the fun of Bond! I love the locations in Casino Royale. They were luxurious and elegant. One thing I hated in QoS was they went so third world and it just felt rougher and not desirable. I like it when they show a place that I wish I could vacation in, not Haiti or a sink hole.

I hope they don't go to these rumored places of Bond 23 because they are places that are rough and high in troubles. There is a luxury side to all places, but I prefer Bond in surroundings that are nicer and sleek.

The Indian government also expressed concerns at the way Indians were portrayed in the Indiana Jones movie The Temple of Doom, forcing that shoot from India to Sri Lanka.

Thats a little unfair really, after all they were under the influence of Kali Ma!

Yeah I wouldn't change the stunt for India, just move it somewhere else and do what you want.

Bond for me should be all about contrasts and contradictions. In the character he is both a gentleman, and a killer (albeit with a moral compass) in the locations and sets I like the mixture of luxury/glamour with criminality and low down despicable schemes and motivation of the villains. The difficulty now is to capture that exoticism as both he and we have just about been everywhere, it is increasingly difficult to impress and surprise us. Perhaps it is time to pull back a bit on the Globetrotting and focus upon generating real tension in specific locations and loose the travelogue element. This would of course shift the genre from 'action-adventure' to plain ol action.
