hey all I've been trying to get my name out as a photographer for the past couple years, and I FINALLY have my own site! true, it's a free host, but it's still wonderful!
so far, I've only done Pro-Bono work, and my own projects, but I'm really hoping that with this site, I can get hired to do some paid work.
if you fine folks could stop by for even a minute and take a peek/leave me some love in the comments or here, that would be wonderful!!!

haha well, best of luck to the HG. it's hard to get your name out...that's why I started doing pro-bono stuff. volunteer your time and then ask the clients to link your site on theirs or have them display your card right next to the piece

My favourite is the glider interplay with the butterfly... Wow..
Good luck with the challenge....you deserve to succeed!

that glider photo was a split second reaction haha. heard it flying low over my house and turned the camera skyward just in time!

Btw if you don't mind me saying, but the link to the facebook page etc is a little hidden...
The site your using is one I come across a lot in the financial world so I'm used to it now, but initially the swipe-me Approach deflect attention from the menu - which could be more explicit than just "pages" in which I found your facebook link.
Hope u don't mind, just like to help if I can.

I studied Photography at college but it has become more or a hobby than anything else now, plus i seem to be better at taking shots from people than taking shots of people as you can see here

Do those tattoos involve dogs with playing cards?

Lexi: I've never heard of i-stock. I'll for sure look into it! thanks for the advice!!!
Nap: obviously, Kelsey is my alter ego :P and lol no, they don't. That would have been expensive. I have a dog bone with WHOOPI (my little beagle) written in it and a dog paw with GARRETT (my big mutt) written below it. they're both on my left calf on the back...the bone is 1.5in long and just an outline in black, the paw is 1.5in tall and a black outline...they cost $45 each!!! no crazy big tats for me until I've got a stable career haha
smudgedude: thanks! I plan to

heres the link.... like I said, not sure how easy it is, but could be lucrative....

thanks for that! I'll take a look-see later!

hey, keep at it...photography is a great hobby! I started out on a little handheld point and shoot. it's all a matter of practice!

Pen...
Lex is right (as usual ) - you really should protect you images and try to make a few bob off them.... Istockphoto is as good as any, but there are others.
Our people use a range of these sites for presentations etc.
Good luck
she is right a lot :P
unfortunately, as I'm unemployed right now, I can't afford membership fees for many of these sites, but as soon as someone hires me, I'm gonna be all over sites like istock

Also, sorry to nit-pick, but that "glider" is a micro-light (at least in the UK).
You are of course right mark it's not strictly a glider (eg hang glider) as the quality of pens pic shows the motorized nature of the beast!
But in the us they are called ultralight aircraft; only in UK india and new Zealand is the term microlight ( all one word, no hyphen mark ) an official classification.
These aircraft are fascinating as they are probably the last bastion of unregulated motorized transport - there is no international regulation and local regs vary from strict pilot license (uk) to nothing at all (eg in us)!
"tower this is oscar tango butterfly, requesting to land"
" this is the tower, who the $$$$ are you and why should I care ?"
If you're interested this might help;

Then again 8-)
Wish he hadn't had the chain on either. If he hadn't, he'd have lept up and bitten some kid. He's only a baby and still a wild animal...he just happens to respect Cat Man (his trainer) and live on a protected range.
If I had $600 to drop on a session out there at the reserve, I'd happily photograph him just being himself
Lol thanks for the info on the microlight. I had. No idea
Lex, I failed the test the first time around, but will take it again!

Sorry about the hyphen, have an interest in aeroplanes, but it centres around WWII aircraft still flying.
Very interesting article, although the author not being able to spell AEROplane correctly X-( in the first sentence almost had me pass it by, although (s)he seems to have managed to correct it later.
Strange that the US don't bother that much with them, perhaps it's the new pioneer spirit.
thanks, Rogue!
I've been doing photography for oh about 5-6 years now...gotta keep practicing!
thankfully, my dear ol' Dad got me a paid gig this weekend and next...hopefully things will work out! Photographing a Ghost Walk/Talk in the local historic cemetery. SO EXCITED.

Great news! Well try your best to capture a spirit or two while you're at it.
Maybe then you can appear on My Ghost Story on Bio.

haha I'll do my best. does it count if I photograph the actors in costume, and mess about with the photo to make it seem like a spirit capture?

Well as an aspiring photographer, in your case, I'd advise against compromising your integrity of future fame for a mere prank unless the cat's already out of the bag.
Didn't you see what happened to Eddie Brock in Spiderman 3?

some photos from the Ghost Walk/Talk I was working last weekend. most of my shots were of crowds just listening to talks, which is what I was hired to do, but they're not fun shots...there were a lot of cool lights and lighting effects, so I took a lot of those shots...
check it out?
