you can buy this Umarex MP5 in the UK anyway, which is fairly cheap and a greta plinking gun for the summer.
True you can buy it in the UK but unless you are a skirmisher & belong to an organisation for such activities it will be painted green, orange, blue or some other naff colour so SO19 don't take yer head off mistaking it for a firearm and YOU as a nutter!

Im pleased to say you are wrong.
The link i sent you was for an umarex 4.5 calibre CO2. this means it is not airsoft, and does not fall under RIFs or the VCR bill.
Its treated as an airgun, therefore, so long as you are over 18, in you pop to buy one, no UKAS skirmish register....
Slightly off topic, but here's my "small" collection
Are you an airsofter?
Lovely collection by the way.
Ive dabbled in airsoft, but prefer paintball. i do neither regularly. Bought the 3 airsofts (Mp5 and the 2 glock 26C's) before the VCR bill and all that crap.
everything else is either pellet (177 or 22), steel BB (4.5mm) .43 calibre or .68 calibre.
it fires 4.5 steel BB's, surely this mean its classed as a RIF?
even if not, you'd get more accuracy with mr magoo and a rubber band )
RIF yes, but its not classed as a skirmising gun, as you cant go round hitting teenagers with steel balls in woodland, not mater how annoying they are.
It falls under airguns, in the same way CO2 pistons do. They may be RIFs in appearance, but you dont need UKARA to buy and airGUN, only airSOFT.

Crap ennit?!?
So I could get a CO2 PPK or PPK/S?
Things I hate:
1. People who hate things.
2. Irony.
3. Lists.

Yup, but only bought across the counter in a shop. The will record the sale and your address, but thats it.
Airsoft (6mm BB) - Requires UKARA registration for skirmishing.
Airgun / pistol (typically 4.5mm pellet or metal BB) - Requires point of sale at shop and ID to by. Limited by power 6ft/lb
Airgun / rifle (typically 4.5mm pellet or 5.5mm pellet) - Requires point of sale at shop and ID to by. Limited by power 12ft/lb
Anything else, proper shotgun or firearm ticket.
PS, deactivated stuff is generally for film / theatre or on ticket, as i understand it.
I think that is the likely culprit for the majority, easier to shape and machine.
To get the cufflink thread;
A) down in size (the FE and SD ones dont exactly make the wearable)
the cufflink will hopefully have the female thread, with the male extending out of the ciggie case cap
I am planning to do this in stainless for extra strength. i have seen some dodgy picture of the FE cufflink thread badly damaged. A 2mm to 2.5mm stainless bolt into a stainless cufflink shaft should resolve this, and actually make the cufflinks wearable!

Nope, its 177 / 4.5 bbs, so it falls under airgun regs, not Airsoft. the UKARA only covers the 6mm airsoft stuff. which is mental.

Now I am confused! So I can buy guns like this legally without any kind of license?
Can you get a PPK or PPK/S like this?

2. Irony.

so my waterman pen should finally be here soon, and I have 2 sets of plans / blueprints enroute.
Ignoring the obvious 'draw and design' basics, can anyone recommend what the best plan of action is?
Would it be worth mocking anything up in wood or plastics first, or just hit the metalwork???
No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!!
Ok, so any thoughts on the best material? It has been suggested I use a mixture of brass and stainless. Any prop makers got thoughts on this subject?

what kinda kit are you using to make this?
